Why Business Analysis Skills Are in Demand in China

    Enterprise Digital Transformation at Scale

China's 14th Five-Year Plan is driving full-chain digitalisation across industries. Enterprises need analysts who can turn transformation strategy into clear, structured requirements that delivery teams can build.

    Requirements Gaps in Fast-Moving Tech

Rapid product cycles at technology and internet firms often outpace requirements discipline. Poorly defined needs cause costly rework, and trained analysts are hired to close that gap.

    Build elicitation and modelling skills

    Shortage of Certified BA Talent

China has a deep developer pool but relatively few formally certified business analysts. A BCS-quality-assured credential helps professionals stand out and signals verified capability to employers.

Stand out with an EXIN BCS credential

Bridging Business and IT in Finance

Banking and insurance modernisation and constant regulatory change demand analysts who can bridge business and IT, define requirements precisely and reduce risk in complex programmes.

Learn to connect needs to solutions

    Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0

With over 10,000 smart factories now established, manufacturers need analysts skilled in business process modelling to map, analyse and improve operations at scale.

    Apply process modelling techniques

    Data-Driven Decision Pressure

As the data industry surpasses 5.8 trillion yuan, organisations need analysts who can define and document requirements for analytics and platform initiatives that boards expect to deliver value.

    Structure requirements for data initiatives

Skills You Will Build in This BA ProgrammeFrom Requirements to Business Cases

This combined programme helps you build core business analysis capability across both the Foundation and Practitioner levels. By the end, you can investigate business problems, elicit and model requirements, manage stakeholders and justify solutions with a sound business case.

    Elicit and Analyse Requirements

Use interviews, workshops, observation and document analysis to gather requirements, then categorise and prioritise them with techniques such as MoSCoW so the right needs are captured clearly.

    Model Business Processes

Create BPMN and swimlane models of as-is and to-be processes, identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and design improvements that stakeholders can validate.

    Manage Stakeholders Effectively

Apply the power and interest grid, RACI and engagement planning to identify, analyse and manage stakeholders, including handling resistance and conflicting interests.

    Analyse Strategy and Context

Use PESTLE, SWOT and gap analysis to understand the strategic context for change and align proposed solutions with organisational strategy.

    Build a Compelling Business Case

Construct a business case using cost-benefit analysis and investment appraisal techniques such as NPV, ROI and payback, and assess risks to delivery and benefits.

Apply BA Techniques in Real Scenarios

At the Practitioner level, apply investigation, modelling and solution-evaluation techniques to realistic project scenarios that require judgment and analysis.
