Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PMI-RMP (PMI Risk Management Professional) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It is designed for risk professionals, project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who identify, assess and respond to project risks and want a globally recognised qualification.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

PMI-RMP (PMI Risk Management Professional) is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management. It is designed for risk professionals, project managers, PMO analysts and consultants who identify, assess and respond to project risks and want a globally recognised qualification.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in the Bahamas?

Yes. In the Bahamas, where banking, tourism and construction run complex projects, PMI-RMP signals specialist risk capability that employers value. Certified risk professionals command strong salary bands and stand out in a market short of credentialed risk specialists.

    Is PMP required before PMI-RMP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education, though many PMI-RMP holders also hold PMP, as the two credentials complement each other.

    Who awards the PMI-RMP credential?

The PMI-RMP is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the global governing body for project, programme and portfolio management credentials. It is recognised by employers worldwide.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in the Bahamas?

PMI-RMP training fees vary by format and provider and are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD under regional pricing. Contact us for a tailored quote for classroom, live online or corporate training.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and a course completion certificate. Request a quote to see what your chosen plan includes.

How much is the PMI-RMP exam fee?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members; actual fees vary, so confirm current rates at pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) lowers the exam fee and includes the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams and PMOs. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How long is the PMI-RMP exam and how many questions?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

Five domains per the ECO (January 2022): Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined psychometrically and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement).

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

Online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You schedule through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility period.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You have up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts, and our mock exams and prep support are built to help you pass first time.

Which standard is the PMI-RMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) effective January 2022, aligned to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You learn to plan risk strategy, identify threats and opportunities, run qualitative and quantitative analysis, plan and implement responses, and monitor and close risks across predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

Anyone can attend the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education under Set A, B or C. The programme provides 32 contact hours toward the education requirement.

How many contact hours does the training provide?

The programme provides 32 contact hours of project risk management education, which fully meets the 30-hour requirement for Set B and Set C candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

    What learning materials are included?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, references to the PMI-RMP ECO and Handbook, and templates mapped to the five risk domains.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest exam outline?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose live virtual, classroom or corporate training, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to get started.

What are the eligibility requirements for PMI-RMP?

PMI requires one of three sets: Set A (secondary diploma, 36 months risk experience, 40 hours education); Set B (degree, 24 months, 30 hours); or Set C (GAC-accredited degree, 12 months, 30 hours), all within the last five years.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule in the Bahamas.

    How soon can I start?

New batches open regularly across live online and classroom formats. See upcoming schedules or speak with an advisor to find the next batch that suits you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch. Contact support to arrange this before your batch begins.
