Risk Pressures Driving Demand Across the Bahamas

    Hurricane and Climate Exposure

The Bahamas sits in the hurricane belt, and events such as Dorian showed how climate risk can halt tourism and infrastructure projects. Employers need professionals who can plan for and respond to these threats.

PMI-RMP builds risk identification and response skills

    Tourism Megaproject Complexity

Resort investments such as the Baha Mar expansion run into hundreds of millions of dollars, where schedule and cost risk is significant. Certified risk professionals help keep these projects on track.

PMI-RMP builds quantitative risk analysis skills

    Financial Services Regulation

Nassau's offshore banking sector operates under strict AML and Central Bank oversight, so project and delivery risk must be governed carefully. Structured risk management is now a core requirement.

PMI-RMP builds risk governance and reporting skills

    Single-Sector Economic Concentration

With tourism generating more than half of GDP, economic shocks ripple quickly through project portfolios. Organisations value leaders who can plan for uncertainty and protect strategic outcomes.

PMI-RMP builds risk strategy and planning skills

    Certified Risk Talent Shortage

The Bahamian labour market is small and has few professionals holding a specialist risk credential. The PMI-RMP's experience-based eligibility makes holders rare and sought-after by employers.

PMI-RMP makes certified risk specialists stand out

    Digital and Fintech Transformation

Initiatives such as the Sand Dollar and wider fintech adoption bring new delivery and technology risk. Professionals who can monitor and control project risk are increasingly in demand across the sector.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing and responding to project risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and risk consultants who want to prove advanced risk competency beyond general project management.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing and responding to project risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, PMO analysts and risk consultants who want to prove advanced risk competency beyond general project management.

Why choose Invensis Learning for PMI-RMP training in Nassau?

Invensis Learning is a PMI Authorized Training Partner offering PMI-aligned courseware, accredited trainers, flexible delivery and support for the PMI-RMP application and exam. You get 32 contact hours and a supported path from learning to certification.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in the Bahamas?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers in the Bahamas and worldwide. It is especially valued in tourism, financial services, construction and energy, where structured project risk management is a core requirement.

    Is PMP required before PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do also hold PMP, as the two credentials complement each other well.

How long is the PMI-RMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year cycle through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

    Pricing

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Nassau?

Training fees vary by format and cohort, so local pricing is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current options.

What is included in the PMI-RMP course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance, learner support and a course completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is paid separately to PMI.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing (for reference, around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members). PMI membership of about USD 139 a year lowers the exam fee; confirm current figures at pmi.org.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for risk, delivery and PMO teams across the Bahamas. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and delivered via Pearson VUE.

How many questions and how long is the exam?

The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. Results are reported with domain-level feedback rather than a single published percentage.

What are the five PMI-RMP exam domains and weights?

Per the January 2022 ECO the domains are Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain performance shown as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

How many attempts do I get and where do I sit the exam?

You get up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility window from application approval. You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    Course Content

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, along with qualitative and quantitative tools and risk management in predictive, agile and hybrid environments.

Which standard and edition is the course based on?

The course is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, together with the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide.

Does the training satisfy the PMI education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour risk management education requirement for Set B and Set C candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk management education.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 115-question, 2.5-hour format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

Anyone can attend the training to build risk skills and earn contact hours. To sit the PMI-RMP exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education under one of its three eligibility sets.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP exam?

There are three sets. Set A: a secondary diploma plus 36 months of risk experience and 40 education hours. Set B: a bachelor's degree plus 24 months and 30 hours. Set C: a GAC-accredited degree plus 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be within the last five years.
