    What is the format of the IASSC Yellow Belt exam?

    The exam is closed book, with 60 multiple-choice and true or false questions covering the five DMAIC phases. You have two hours to complete it, and some forms include up to six additional unscored questions.

    What score do I need to pass?

    You need a minimum of 230 out of 300 points to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so aim for broad understanding.

    How and where can I sit the exam?

    You can take the exam online through IASSC's web-based proctored system, available around the clock, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Both options use the same closed-book format.

    Are there prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. There are no prerequisites for the Yellow Belt exam, though training and practical experience are recommended to help you prepare and pass with confidence.

    What if I do not pass the first time?
