How much does Black Belt training cost in Uruguay?

Training pricing varies by format and schedule and is available on request. Live online and corporate group options are quoted separately. Contact a learning advisor for a tailored quote and upcoming batches.

How much is the Black Belt exam fee?

The exam voucher is billed in USD and varies by region, with a base price around USD 450. It is bought separately from training through the official ordering site. Confirm the current fee before you book.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the exam first time?

Our training is built around exam readiness, with mock exams and practice aligned to the official Body of Knowledge to support a first-time pass. If needed, you can retake the exam by purchasing another voucher; confirm current retake terms before rebooking.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and lasts four hours (240 minutes). Non-native speakers may be allowed an extra 60 minutes. It is closed book, though a reference document of formulas and tables is provided during the exam.

What score do I need to pass?

You need a minimum of 580 points out of 750 to pass the Black Belt exam. Focus on broad mastery across all five DMAIC phases, since the exam weights Analyse and Measure most heavily.

    How is the exam delivered?

You can sit the exam online with 24/7 proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Both use the same closed-book, 150-question format across the five DMAIC phases.

What is the exam application process?

Review the IASSC Body of Knowledge, optionally take the non-proctored evaluation exam, then purchase your exam voucher from the official ordering site. Choose online proctoring or a test centre, schedule your sitting, and complete the 150-question exam.

What are the exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers Define (13.5%), Measure (21.5%), Analyse (26.5%), Improve (16.5%) and Control (22%). Analyse and Measure carry the most questions, so prioritise statistics and analysis in your preparation.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this Black Belt course?

The course is advanced, but there are no formal prerequisites, so motivated learners can join. Prior Green Belt knowledge or improvement experience helps, and our trainers build up the statistical foundations needed for the exam.

What topics does the training cover?

Training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define and Lean foundations, Measure and measurement system analysis, Analyse with hypothesis testing, Improve with regression and Design of Experiments, and Control with SPC and control plans.

What is the difference between Green Belt and Black Belt?

Black Belt goes well beyond Green Belt, adding advanced statistics, Design of Experiments and statistical process control, plus the ability to lead complex projects independently and mentor Green Belts.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware aligned to the Body of Knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, Lean and statistical templates, and chapter-wise quizzes to reinforce each DMAIC phase.

Are there practical exercises and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes scenario-based exercises and full-length mock exams in the 150-question, four-hour format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam confidence.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest Body of Knowledge?

Yes. The courseware follows the current Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge, structured around the five DMAIC phases, so your preparation matches what the exam tests.
