    What is the format of the CSM exam?

    The CSM exam is an open-book, online, multiple-choice test taken through the Scrum Alliance member portal after you complete the course. It uses single-answer questions based on the Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives.

    How many questions are on the CSM exam and how long is it?

    The CSM exam has 50 questions and a 60-minute (one hour) time limit. It is taken online through the Scrum Alliance portal, with no proctor required.

    What is the passing score for the CSM exam?

    The passing score is 74 per cent, which means answering at least 37 of the 50 questions correctly. Because the exam is open book, focus on understanding the Scrum framework rather than memorising it.

    How many attempts do I get, and what if I do not pass first time?

    Candidates typically have three attempts to pass the CSM exam within 90 days of completing the course. Our trainer guidance and practice materials are designed to help you pass on the first attempt.

    Which standard is the CSM exam based on?

    How long is the CSM training?

    The CSM training is a 16-hour programme, delivered as two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule. This exceeds the Scrum Alliance minimum contact-hours requirement for CSM courses.
