    What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is a closed-book exam, taken online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    What is the passing score for the ASF exam?

    The passing score is 65 percent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Broad understanding across all five topic areas is the best way to pass.

    What topics does the ASF exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas per the EXIN Examination Specification: Agile Way of Thinking (20 percent), Scrum Practices (30 percent), Scrum Planning and Estimation (20 percent), Monitoring Scrum Projects (15 percent) and Advanced Scrum Concepts (15 percent).

    What standard is the ASF exam based on?

    The exam is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification, aligned to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto with its four values and twelve principles. Our courseware follows this current syllabus.

    Can I take the exam online?

    Yes. You can sit the exam through EXIN's online proctored system from home or the office, or at an EXIN accredited test location. It is usually arranged as part of the training and exam package.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    Our training and practice questions are designed to help you clear the exam on your first attempt. If you need to resit, EXIN allows re-examination; confirm the current re-sit policy and fee with EXIN through your advisor.

    You will learn the agile way of working, the Scrum framework including roles, events and artefacts, agile planning and estimation, how to monitor Scrum projects with burndown and burnup charts, and advanced concepts such as scaling and continuous improvement.

    Yes. The course is designed for complete beginners and requires no prior agile or Scrum knowledge. It starts from the fundamentals and builds up to exam-ready understanding through examples and practice.

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification, the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto, so you study the current, exam-relevant content.

    How long is the training?

    The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. The schedule is designed to prepare you thoroughly for the 40-question EXIN exam.
