What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Leading Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification is a globally recognised, two-level qualification that proves you can lead the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real organisational change scenarios. Delivered in Uruguay as an instructor-led programme, this combined course suits project managers, HR and OD practitioners, consultants and transformation leaders who want a credential employers respect. It draws on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, covering proven models such as ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model and Bridges' Transition Model. As Montevideo's banks, free-zone tech firms and public bodies accelerate digital transformation, professionals who can turn strategy into adopted change are in short supply. Start your change management journey with Invensis Learning and step into that gap with confidence.

It is a globally recognised, two-level change management qualification. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. Together they cover the people and culture side of change.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level change management qualification. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. Together they cover the people and culture side of change.

Who should take this change management course in Uruguay?

It suits project managers, HR and OD professionals, consultants, programme managers and leaders who drive or support organisational change. In Uruguay it is valued across technology, banking, fintech, consulting and the public sector as digital transformation accelerates.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Uruguay?

Yes. Uruguay has many project managers but few certified change practitioners, so the credential helps you stand out for Change Manager, Transformation Lead and consulting roles. These roles command strong pay as employers modernise systems and services.

What models and standards does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. It covers ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Bridges' Transition Model, Schein's culture model and more.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a professional discipline, including across Uruguay, the wider region, Europe and Australia.

    Pricing

How much does the Change Management course cost in Uruguay?

Pricing depends on your chosen format, such as live online, classroom or corporate group training. Fees are quoted on request in local currency and typically bundle training with both exam vouchers. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, case studies, mock exams and practice questions, and learner support. Confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen batch when you request a quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

In most combined packages the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are included with the training. Because inclusions can vary by batch and format, confirm exam voucher inclusion when you enrol or request a quote.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, HR, OD and transformation teams across Uruguay. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, closed book, and a duration of 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It has 5 scenario-based sections worth 16 marks each, 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. Both must be passed to hold both credentials, and the combined programme prepares you for each.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

How are the exams delivered and what if I do not pass?

Exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, usually at the end of each stage of training. Retake policies vary by provider, so our team will guide you on re-sit options and prepare you to pass on your first attempt.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The training covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner applies it to scenarios.

Do I need prior experience or prerequisites?

There are no prerequisites for Foundation, so beginners are welcome. Practitioner requires the Foundation certification first. The combined programme is designed to take you from foundational knowledge to applied practice.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, plus Practitioner open-book exam technique. Materials are aligned to the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes Foundation practice questions and scenario-based Practitioner practice, along with mock exams, to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness for both levels.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days varies by schedule format, from an intensive full-day option to extended part-day sessions.

How do I enrol in the Change Management course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like help choosing a batch.

What training formats are available in Uruguay?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

New batches run regularly across live online and corporate formats. Contact us to see upcoming schedules for Uruguay and reserve your place in the next available cohort.
