    Public Sector Accountability

Government project workers under the 2026 salary structure face closer scrutiny on delivery and value for money, where PRINCE2 principles like continued business justification apply directly.

    Banking and Fintech Change

Digital transformation across banks and telecoms is multiplying concurrent change projects, pushing employers to standardise governance so initiatives deliver on time and to scope.

    PRINCE2 builds structured change delivery

    Your Uganda Career Transformation

    Where You Stand Today,

And Where PRINCE2 Foundation Takes You

Uganda's project economy is expanding with oil and gas, infrastructure, banking and donor-funded programmes, and employers increasingly separate professionals who know a recognised method from those who do not. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Project pay capped with little leverage without a recognised credential

    After PRINCE2 Foundation

Certified project professionals in Uganda progress from around UGX 24M toward UGX 39M and beyond

    Today

Overlooked for roles that list PRINCE2 as a preferred qualification

    After PRINCE2 Foundation

Eligible for project roles across oil and gas, banking, telecom and donor-funded programmes

    Today

Confident on tasks, but with no shared project delivery framework

    After PRINCE2 Foundation

Fluent in PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes employers trust

    You earn your PRINCE2 Foundation

    Before

A project role that depends on experience, not a recognised method credential

    Now you have

A globally recognised PeopleCert credential valued across 200+ countries

    Before

No structured method to plan, govern and control your projects

    Now you have

The PRINCE2 7 method to control scope, risk, quality and stages

    Before

Recognition that fades when you change sector or employer

    Now you have

A portable credential that travels across Uganda's sectors and abroad

    Before

Uncertainty about how to step up from team member to project lead

    Now you have

A clear path from Foundation toward PRINCE2 Practitioner

"The gap between doing project tasks and delivering with a recognised method is widening, and the employers that matter in Uganda already know it."

    General

Is the PRINCE2 Foundation certification worth it in Uganda?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is a globally recognised entry-level project management credential valued by employers across Uganda's oil and gas, banking, telecom, public sector and development organisations. It proves you understand a structured method, and the Bank of Uganda has adopted PRINCE2 for its own project delivery.

What is PRINCE2 Foundation and who is it for?

PRINCE2 Foundation gives you the knowledge to work effectively within a project environment that uses PRINCE2. It suits project team members, coordinators, administrators, aspiring project managers and anyone new to the method, with no prior experience required.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the course cover?

The course is based on PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. The seventh edition introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile, sustainability and commercial management.

    Who governs the PRINCE2 certification?

PRINCE2 was created by AXELOS and is now owned, published and examined by PeopleCert, which acquired AXELOS in 2021. PeopleCert delivers the Foundation exam through online proctoring or authorised test centres worldwide.

How long is the PRINCE2 Foundation certification valid?

PRINCE2 Foundation is valid for three years. To keep it active, you earn 60 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points within each three-year cycle. Verify current renewal options at peoplecert.org.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Foundation training cost in Uganda?

Training is offered as a combined package and pricing depends on format and schedule, so a current quote is available on request. The PeopleCert exam fee is billed separately and varies by region and channel. Request a quote for the latest figures.

What is included in the PRINCE2 Foundation course fee?

The fee typically includes PRINCE2 7 aligned courseware, instructor-led training, practice questions, mock exams and learner support, with the exam voucher usually bundled in accredited packages. Talk to a learning advisor to confirm inclusions for your plan.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

Accredited training packages usually include the PeopleCert exam voucher, but this varies by plan. Because exam pricing differs by region and channel, we confirm the exact inclusion when you enrol. Ask about corporate or group pricing for teams.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, project teams and departments across Uganda. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PRINCE2 Foundation exam first time?

The training includes practice questions and mock exams to prepare you thoroughly for a first-time pass. If a resit is needed, PeopleCert allows re-examination; confirm the current resit policy and fee at peoplecert.org. Our team supports your preparation throughout.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the PRINCE2 7 Foundation Syllabus. It is delivered online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The PRINCE2 Foundation exam has 60 questions and lasts 60 minutes (1 hour). You must answer at least 36 correctly to reach the 60% pass mark.

Are there any prerequisites for the exam?

No. PRINCE2 Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to everyone regardless of education, experience or prior project management knowledge. Attending an accredited course is recommended to prepare well.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 Foundation exam in Uganda?

You can sit the exam online from home or office through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available around the clock, or at an authorised test centre. The voucher is typically arranged as part of your training package.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this course without project experience?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is designed for people new to project management or to PRINCE2, so no prior experience is needed. The training builds understanding step by step, from the principles through to the processes.

What topics does the PRINCE2 Foundation training cover?

Training covers the full PRINCE2 7 method: the seven principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organising, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring and management products.

How long is the PRINCE2 Foundation training?

The programme runs for around 16 hours, typically delivered as an intensive two-day course or as extended half-day sessions. It covers all Foundation syllabus areas and prepares you for the exam.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PRINCE2 7 Foundation Syllabus, so you learn the method exactly as PeopleCert examines it.

What is the next step after PRINCE2 Foundation?
