    Who should learn Primavera P6 in Uganda?

    The training suits project planners, schedulers, project controls and cost engineers, project managers and site engineers who plan or control projects. It is especially valuable in Uganda's oil and gas, construction, roads and energy sectors, where P6 is the standard scheduling tool.

    Is Primavera P6 worth learning in Uganda?

    Yes. Primavera P6 is mandated on major EPC, oil and gas and infrastructure contracts, and skilled schedulers are scarce as projects like EACOP and Tilenga scale. Confident P6 skills open in-demand planner and project controls roles across capital-intensive sectors.

    Which Primavera P6 levels are available?

    Two levels are available. Fundamentals (2 days, 16 hours) covers core scheduling, relationships, resources, baselines and progress tracking. Advanced (3 days, 24 hours) covers resource and cost loading, earned value, Claim Digger, multi-project management and custom reporting.

    Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

    Take Fundamentals if you are new to Primavera P6 or want a solid foundation in P6 scheduling. Take Advanced if you already use P6 and want to master resource and cost loading, earned value, schedule quality checks, multi-project control and reporting. You can attend either level, or both in sequence.

    How much does Primavera P6 training cost in Uganda?

    Fees vary by level, delivery format and group size, so pricing is available on request. Fundamentals and Advanced can be booked separately or together, and corporate group rates apply for teams. Request a quote for current pricing in your preferred format.

    What is included in the training fee?

    The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, live P6 exercises, structured course materials, practice activities and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Contact a learning advisor to confirm what is included in your chosen format.

    Do you offer group or corporate rates?

    Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for planning teams, PMOs and engineering groups. It can be delivered onsite, live virtual or blended. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your team.

    Are there separate software costs for Primavera P6?

    Oracle Primavera P6 is a commercial product from Oracle Corporation and is licensed separately from the training. You should have P6 installed and accessible for the hands-on exercises. Ask us whether a training environment is provided for your session.

    Assessment

    Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

    No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course with no exam at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on P6 exercises on realistic project scenarios, so you build proficiency by doing the work throughout the training.

    What do I receive after completing the training?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing each level. The training builds practical P6 scheduling and project controls skills that you can apply at work straight away, with no renewal required.

    How is learning assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you work through hands-on Primavera P6 exercises using realistic construction, oil and gas and infrastructure scenarios, following the trainer step by step, so you build and check your skills as you go.

    Do I need prior Primavera P6 experience?

    Not for Fundamentals, which is designed for new or occasional P6 users; basic familiarity with project concepts helps but is not required. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience.

    Do I need Primavera P6 installed to attend?

    Yes. You should have Oracle Primavera P6, either P6 Professional or P6 EPPM, installed and accessible so you can follow the live exercises. Contact us to confirm software and access requirements before your session begins.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

    You will learn to navigate P6, build the enterprise project structure (EPS, OBS, WBS), create activities, calendars and relationships, run the scheduler, read the critical path and float, assign resources, set baselines, update progress and produce basic reports.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    The Advanced level covers advanced scheduling options, schedule quality checks such as DCMA, resource and cost loading with cost accounts, earned value management, baseline comparison and Claim Digger, multi-project management and custom layouts and reporting.

    Does the training cover earned value management?

    Yes, in the Advanced level. You learn to calculate and interpret earned value metrics such as BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI and EAC directly from a cost-loaded P6 schedule, and to use them to report performance and forecast outcomes.

    Is the training hands-on or theory based?

    It is hands-on throughout. Every module is taught with live Primavera P6 exercises on realistic project scenarios, so you practise each feature and workflow as the trainer demonstrates it rather than only learning the theory.

    Will I learn to manage multiple projects in P6?

    Yes, in the Advanced level. You learn multi-project scheduling with cross-project relationships, enterprise portfolio views under the EPS, enterprise resource management and project codes, so you can plan and report across a programme or portfolio.

    How do I enrol in Primavera P6 training?

    You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your level and preferred format, complete the booking, and you will receive your schedule, joining details and course materials. Talk to a learning advisor if you would like guidance choosing a level.

    What training formats are available in Uganda?

    We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom and onsite training, and customised corporate group training. This lets individuals and teams in Uganda choose the format that best fits their schedule and project commitments.

    How soon can I start the training?

    Can you train my team on our own project data?

    Yes. Corporate group training can use your own or representative project data, so exercises reflect your real work. We tailor the programme to your sector and deliver it onsite, live virtual or blended. Request corporate training for a tailored plan.
