How long is the CSM certification valid?

The CSM is valid for two years. To renew it, you earn 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) and pay the Scrum Alliance membership renewal fee every two years. SEUs can be gained through courses, coaching, conferences, and self-study.

What is the next step after the CSM?

The Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) is the next level in the Scrum Alliance Scrum Master track, covering advanced facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement. The CSM is the mandatory prerequisite, along with experience in a Scrum Master role.

You typically have three attempts to pass the CSM exam within 90 days of completing the course. If you do not pass at first, you can review your materials and retake it within that window, and our trainers provide preparation guidance.

Do I need prior experience to take the CSM course?

No. There is no formal education or work-experience requirement for the CSM, so the course is beginner friendly. It suits those new to Scrum as well as team members who want to formalise existing Scrum knowledge.

Are practice questions and mock tests included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and knowledge checks aligned to the 50-question, open-book exam format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness before you sit the online exam.

    Who delivers the CSM training?
