    Who should take the Agile Scrum Master course?

    The course suits practising and aspiring Scrum Masters, project managers moving into agile delivery, team and technical leads, and agile coaches or delivery managers. It is ideal for professionals who facilitate or want to facilitate Scrum teams.

    Do I need Agile Scrum Foundation before ASM?

    EXIN recommends Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge as the entry point, but it is generally not strictly enforced as a mandatory prerequisite. The training covers the foundations you need, so motivated professionals can start at the ASM level.

    Does the EXIN ASM certification expire?

    No. The EXIN Agile Scrum Master certification is for lifetime. There is no expiry, renewal or continuing-education requirement, so once you pass you keep the credential.

    Is the EXIN exam fee included in the training price?

    It depends on the package. EXIN bills the exam in USD or EUR through its portal, and some training packages bundle the exam voucher. Ask a learning advisor which option includes the exam so you can compare clearly.

    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification, which aligns to the Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    The pass mark is 65 percent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. The training focuses on broad mastery across all five topic areas to help you reach that threshold.

    How long is the EXIN ASM exam?

    You have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete the 40-question exam. The pacing is comfortable for candidates who have prepared with practice questions and mock exams.

    How is the ASM exam delivered?

    The exam is available through EXIN online proctoring, which you can sit from home or office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Your training provider can guide you through booking.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can resit the EXIN exam by registering for another attempt. Our training includes mock exams and practice questions to build readiness, and selected plans offer additional retake support. Confirm the current resit fee with EXIN.

    What topics does the ASM training cover?

    The training covers the five EXIN topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    Can a beginner take the Agile Scrum Master course?

    Yes. While Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge is recommended, the course builds the agile and Scrum foundations you need before moving into Scrum Master facilitation and coaching, so newer practitioners can follow along with support.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, practice questions, full mock exams, topic-wise quizzes and downloadable reference materials, along with trainer-led discussion and post-training support.

    How long is the ASM training programme?

    The programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or as extended half-day sessions. It serves as practical Scrum Master development and structured exam preparation.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest EXIN specification?

    Yes. The courseware maps to the current EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification and the Scrum Guide, so what you learn reflects the exam and current Scrum practice.
