    The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is PMI's entry-level project management credential.     Who should take CAPM training?

    CAPM is designed for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who want to enter project management. No project work experience is required, making it an ideal first PMI credential and a stepping stone toward the PMP.

    Do I need work experience for CAPM?

    No. CAPM requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

    How long is the CAPM certification valid?

    CAPM is valid for three years from the date of certification. Unlike PMP, it is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

    What is included in the CAPM training fee?

    How much does the CAPM exam cost?

    What is the format of the CAPM exam?

    The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and lasts three hours. It is closed book and delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The exam covers four domains from the 2023 ECO: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

    Is there a fixed passing score?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results report your performance across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of the full Examination Content Outline.

    How many attempts do I get for the CAPM exam?

    You may attempt the CAPM exam up to three times within the one-year eligibility period that begins when PMI approves your application. Our prep and mock exams are designed to help you pass on the first attempt.
