    The one-day programme covers six modules: the cost of defects, human error and error types, Poka Yoke classification, the six-step design process, real-world case studies, and implementing mistake-proofing in your organisation, with hands-on exercises throughout.

    What are the main types of Poka Yoke I will learn?

    You will learn prevention (control) and detection (warning) types, and the three detection methods: contact, fixed-value and motion-step. You will also cover source inspection, self-check and successive check, and low-tech versus sensor-based solutions.

    Does the course apply beyond manufacturing?

    Yes. While rooted in manufacturing, Poka Yoke applies to healthcare, logistics, financial services, food and beverage and IT. The case studies include medication safety, airline boarding, banking controls and software validation.
