    What is the format of the Yellow Belt exam?

    The IASSC Yellow Belt exam is a closed-book test of 60 multiple-choice and true or false questions, with a two-hour allotted time. Some forms include up to six additional unscored questions.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 points out of 300 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so aim for balanced understanding across Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.

    Are there prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. IASSC sets no prerequisites for the Yellow Belt exam. Training and real-world experience are recommended but not mandatory, which makes it an accessible first credential.

    How and where do I take the exam?

    You can sit the exam through IASSC web-based online proctoring, available on demand, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Singapore candidates can choose whichever option is more convenient.

    No prior experience is needed. The Yellow Belt is designed for beginners, so the trainer introduces each concept from the ground up with practical examples you can apply at work.

    You receive IASSC-aligned courseware mapped to the Yellow Belt body of knowledge, practice questions aligned to the 60-question exam format, and supporting examples and exercises to reinforce each phase.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs to 16 hours of instruction, delivered as full-day or extended part-day sessions depending on the schedule you choose. This covers the full Yellow Belt body of knowledge.

    Will I receive a certificate after the training?
