    What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

    The PMI-CP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, and covers the four ECO domains.

    How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

    The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes, which is three hours and 50 minutes. Focus your preparation across all four domains rather than a single area.

    What domains does the PMI-CP exam cover and their weights?

    The exam covers four domains: Contracts Management at 50 percent, Stakeholder Engagement at 30 percent, Strategy and Scope Management at 15 percent, and Project Governance at 5 percent. Contracts Management is the largest and most heavily weighted.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.
