    It is ideal for quality analysts, engineers, team leads and operations staff in BPO, manufacturing, banking and shared services. There are no formal prerequisites, so professionals at many levels can build practical DMAIC and Lean skills.

    Is the Green Belt credential worth it for my career?

    Yes. Certified improvement talent is in demand across the Philippines, with continuous improvement roles averaging around 825,000 pesos a year and manager roles higher. The credential maps to roles from quality analyst to process improvement manager and gives a foundation for the Black Belt.

    Do I need work experience or prerequisites?

    No. The ICGB exam has no mandatory education, experience or training requirements. Real-world experience and training are recommended but not required, which makes the Green Belt accessible to a wide range of professionals.

    How long is the certification valid?

    The IASSC Green Belt credential carries Current status for three years from the date of certification. You maintain it by passing the recertification exam before the elapse date or within 90 days after.

    What is the format of the ICGB exam?

    The IASSC Certified Green Belt exam is a closed-book test of 100 multiple-choice and true or false questions, with some forms adding up to 10 unscored questions. You have three hours to complete it, and it covers all five DMAIC phases.

    What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so broad mastery across DMAIC is the best preparation.

    How and where can I sit the exam?

    You can take the exam through online proctoring on demand, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. The voucher is purchased from IASSC, and you choose the delivery mode that is most convenient for you.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    If you do not reach the required score you can retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our practice questions, mock assessments and trainer guidance are designed to help you build readiness and attempt the exam with confidence.

    Which standard is the exam based on?

    The training covers the full DMAIC cycle: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control.
