    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The exam is closed book with 115 multiple-choice questions, including single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is based on the Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and delivered online or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Questions are distributed across the five risk management domains defined in the ECO.

    What are the five PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

    Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%), per the January 2022 ECO.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined psychometrically and reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

    You need one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 36 months of risk experience and 40 hours of risk education; a bachelor's degree with 24 months and 30 hours; or a GAC-accredited degree with 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must fall within the last five years.

    How many attempts do I get for the exam?

    Yes. You practise qualitative tools such as probability-impact matrices alongside quantitative methods including Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value.

    Does the course cover agile and hybrid projects?

    Yes. Reflecting the current ECO, the training covers risk management across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery environments, so the skills apply to any project approach you work in.

    How many contact hours does the training provide?

    The programme delivers 32 contact hours, which fully meet the 30-hour education requirement for Set B and Set C candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

    What learning materials are included?

    You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, downloadable templates and quizzes mapped to the Examination Content Outline.
