Risk Management Challenges Driving Demand in Eindhoven

    High-Tech Programme Complexity

Brainport employers such as ASML and NXP run capital-intensive, high-tech programmes where a single unmanaged risk can delay delivery, so structured risk leadership is now a core requirement.

PMI-RMP builds risk strategy and planning skills

    Semiconductor Supply-Chain Uncertainty

Geopolitical shifts and long lead times expose the region's semiconductor supply chain to disruption, driving demand for professionals who can quantify and respond to project risk.

PMI-RMP builds threat and opportunity analysis skills

    Certified Risk Talent Scarcity

The Netherlands has a deep pool of project managers but far fewer credentialed risk specialists. PMI-RMP's specialist focus and eligibility make holders rare and valued.

PMI-RMP makes certified risk specialists stand out

    Regulatory and ESG Pressure

The energy transition, ESG reporting and tighter compliance add layers of risk to infrastructure and energy programmes that boards now expect to be managed formally.

PMI-RMP builds risk monitoring and reporting skills

    Agile and Hybrid Delivery Risk

As teams mix predictive, agile and hybrid methods, risk is harder to see and track. The 2022 ECO addresses exactly this, so certified professionals can manage risk in any environment.

PMI-RMP builds risk skills across delivery approaches

    Capital-Intensive Infrastructure

The ASML campus expansion and regional infrastructure investment mean large budgets and long timelines, where quantitative risk analysis protects value and informs go-or-no-go decisions.

This training helps you build practical, exam-ready risk capability mapped to the five PMI-RMP domains. By the end, you can plan, identify, analyse, respond to and monitor risk on real projects, not just recall theory.

Build a Risk Strategy and Plan

Skills covered in PMI-RMP training start here: assess the project environment, confirm risk thresholds and appetite, and tailor a risk management plan and strategy aligned to predictive, agile or hybrid delivery.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate structured risk identification using brainstorming, the Delphi technique, SWOT, checklists and assumption analysis, and record clear cause-risk-effect entries in a complete risk register.

    Analyse Risk Qualitatively and Quantitatively

Prioritise risks with probability-impact matrices, then apply Monte Carlo simulation, decision-tree analysis, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value to model impact on cost and schedule.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Select and execute response strategies for threats (avoid, transfer, mitigate, accept) and opportunities (exploit, share, enhance, accept), and build contingency and fallback plans with reserves.

    Monitor and Close Risks

Track triggers and residual and secondary risks, run periodic risk reviews, report on risk exposure to stakeholders, and formally close risks with lessons learned at project closure.

Apply Risk Across Predictive, Agile and Hybrid

Adapt every technique to the delivery approach in use, reflecting the January 2022 ECO, so you can manage project and programme risk in any environment employers run.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. It is delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

There are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%), per the January 2022 ECO.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis and reported with domain feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.
