What is the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt?

The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) is an entry-level credential validating foundational knowledge across all five DMAIC phases at an awareness level, plus basic Lean tools. It is governed by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) and awards the IASSC-CYB designation.

Who should take the Yellow Belt course?

It suits front-line employees, team members, supervisors and anyone new to process improvement who wants to support projects led by Green or Black Belts. It is also ideal for professionals exploring Lean Six Sigma before committing to a higher belt.

The IASSC credential carries Current status for three years from the date of certification. To maintain it, you pass a recertification exam before the status elapses, as set out by IASSC.
