    Who should attend the Lean Manufacturing Training?

    The training suits production and manufacturing managers, industrial and manufacturing engineers, operations supervisors and team leaders, quality and maintenance professionals, and continuous improvement leads. It is open to anyone working in or responsible for a production or operations environment.

    Do I need prior Lean experience to join?

    No. There are no prerequisites. The programme introduces the Toyota Production System, the five Lean principles and the eight wastes from first principles, so beginners and experienced practitioners both benefit. Prior manufacturing exposure is helpful but not required.

    Is this training relevant to sectors beyond manufacturing?

    Yes. While the focus is manufacturing, tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, waste elimination and Kaizen apply to logistics, warehousing, healthcare operations and service delivery too. The principles transfer to any process where you want to remove waste and improve flow.

    What will I be able to do after the programme?

    You will be able to run a waste walk, read and build a value stream map, plan a 5S rollout, design a kanban pull system, calculate OEE and lead Kaizen improvements. In short, you can start eliminating waste on your own production floor right away.

    Is there an exam for the Lean Manufacturing Training?

    No. This is a practical skills programme with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste-identification activities, manufacturing case examples and group discussion during the day.

    What do I receive on completing the training?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. There is no formal credential or awarding body; the value is the practical Lean capability you can apply immediately in your workplace.

    How is my learning assessed during the programme?

    Assessment is practical, not a test. You apply Lean tools through exercises such as waste walks, value stream mapping, a 5S assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing, so you leave able to use each tool on your own lines.

    Does the skillset expire or need renewing?

    No. The Lean tools and methods you learn do not expire and need no renewal. They remain immediately applicable to waste elimination and continuous improvement throughout your career.

    Can I progress to further Lean training afterwards?

    Yes. This programme is a strong foundation for further study such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Poka Yoke and Lean Six Sigma training, all available through Invensis Learning. Ask an advisor about the right next step for your goals.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the Lean Manufacturing Training?

    The programme covers six modules: Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the eight wastes, value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems, kanban, JIT and TPM, and standard work, SMED, Heijunka, poka yoke and Lean culture.

    How long is the training and how is it structured?

    The programme runs for one day (8 hours) and can also be split into two half-day sessions. It combines concept explanations, real manufacturing case examples and hands-on Lean tool exercises across all six modules.

    Are there hands-on exercises included?

    Yes. Exercises run throughout the day, including a Gemba-based waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, OEE calculation, kanban quantity calculation and standard work observation, so you practise every core tool.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware, downloadable Lean templates and reference guides, and exercise materials for each module. These support both the session and your improvement work back at the plant.

    Is the content suitable for a whole production team?

    Yes. Lean works best when operators, engineers, supervisors and maintenance share one method and language. On-site group training applies the exercises to your own factory, making it ideal for cross-functional production teams.

    How do I enrol in the Lean Manufacturing Training?
