    Is there an exam for Microsoft Project training?

    No. Neither the Fundamentals nor the Advanced level includes an examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Microsoft Project exercises using realistic project scenarios throughout the programme.

    How is my learning assessed?

    There is no formal assessment. You build practical proficiency by following along and completing live exercises in Microsoft Project during the course, using realistic project examples.

    What do I receive on completion?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. There is no external credential or governing body for the training; it focuses on practical software skills you can apply at work straight away.

    Do the skills expire or need renewal?

    No. The Microsoft Project skills you learn are immediately applicable and do not expire. There is nothing to renew and no continuing requirement to maintain.

    Will this help me use Microsoft Project with PMP or PRINCE2 methods?

    Yes. Microsoft Project is the scheduling tool many PMP and PRINCE2 practitioners use to apply their methodology in practice, so the training complements project management method learning well.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

    Fundamentals covers project setup and calendars, building the work breakdown structure, task dependencies and the critical path, creating and assigning resources, setting baselines, tracking progress, and built-in reporting, across 2 days (16 hours).

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers task types and advanced scheduling, resource pools and levelling, cost and Earned Value management, custom fields, views and reports, master projects and cross-project links, and what-if analysis, across 3 days (24 hours).

    How long is each level?

    Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours total) and Advanced for 3 days (24 hours total). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats depending on the schedule.

    Are the sessions hands-on?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered with live instructor demonstration and hands-on exercises in Microsoft Project using realistic project scenarios, so you practise each feature as it is taught.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. The Fundamentals level is designed for people new to Microsoft Project. If you are comfortable with Windows and basic Microsoft Office, you can follow along and build confidence quickly.
