    General

Is the PMP certification worth it for professionals in the Maldives?

Yes. The PMP is the global gold standard in project management and PMP holders typically earn 20 to 25 percent more than non-certified peers. In the Maldives, where resort, construction and infrastructure projects are expanding, employers value the credential as proof you can deliver complex work on time and on budget. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The Project Management Professional (PMP) is PMI's flagship credential, validating your ability to lead projects using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It suits experienced project managers, delivery leads, engineers and team leads who direct projects and want a globally recognised qualification.

Which standard and edition is the PMP based on?

The PMP is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline (ECO) published by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The exam covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery approaches.

What are the prerequisites for the PMP exam?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which our training provides.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

The PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in the Maldives?

PMP training in the Maldives is quoted locally and varies by format, such as live online or in-house classroom. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD. Contact us for current pricing and available batches, or request a quote for your preferred format.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours of education, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, downloadable templates and learner support, along with a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for the full inclusions.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI bills the exam separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 405 for PMI members and USD 555 for non-members, and prices may vary. PMI membership costs about USD 139 per year and reduces the exam fee. Verify current fees on pmi.org.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments across the Maldives. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions to be completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, and is based on the current ECO aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

What domains does the PMP exam cover?

The updated exam aligned to the 8th edition is organised into five performance domains spanning project management fundamentals, predictive methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication. Roughly half the content reflects agile or hybrid approaches.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and performance is reported per domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Focus on broad mastery across all domains.

Where can I take the PMP exam and how many attempts do I get?

You can sit the exam online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. PMI allows up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period from application approval.

What if I do not pass the PMP exam the first time?

You can retake it, up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, with reexamination fees for the second and third attempts. Our training, mock exams and post-training support are designed to help you prepare thoroughly and reduce that risk.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMP training?

You will learn to plan, execute and govern projects using predictive, agile and hybrid methods aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition. Topics include scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, stakeholder engagement, team leadership and business value delivery.

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

You can join the training at any experience level, and it delivers the 35 contact hours PMI requires. To sit the exam, however, you must meet PMI's experience prerequisites of 36 or 60 months of leading projects depending on your education.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates, flashcards and chapter-wise quizzes, plus references to the PMP Examination Content Outline and PMP Handbook.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline, covering the predictive, agile and hybrid content the exam evaluates.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

Yes. After completing the programme you receive a course completion certificate confirming the 35 contact hours of project management education, which count toward your PMP exam eligibility.
