Is there an exam for the Minitab Essentials Training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Your learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Minitab exercises throughout the day, and you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. You practise each technique in Minitab as the trainer demonstrates it, using realistic quality datasets, so you build proficiency through doing rather than through a test.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

You will be able to import and manage data, create quality graphs, run hypothesis tests, build and interpret control charts, run process capability analysis, and perform regression and Gauge R&R studies, all in Minitab.

Do I need Minitab installed before attending?

Yes. You should have Minitab statistical software installed on your device before the session so you can follow the hands-on exercises. Confirm software access and any trial licence with us when you enrol.

Will these skills expire or need renewal?

No. Because there is no credential attached, nothing expires and there is nothing to renew. The Minitab skills you build are immediately applicable and stay useful across your quality and improvement work.

Course Content

What topics does the Minitab training cover?

The course covers six modules: Minitab interface and data management, descriptive statistics and graphs, hypothesis testing, statistical process control, process capability analysis, and regression with Gauge R&R, all delivered with live software exercises.

Which Minitab features will I learn to use?

You will use histograms, boxplots, Pareto and time series charts, t-tests, ANOVA and chi-square tests, I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts, Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk capability analysis, regression and Gauge R&R.

Is the training hands-on or theory based?

It is highly hands-on. Every module includes live Minitab exercises using realistic quality and process improvement datasets, so you learn by performing each analysis yourself rather than watching passively.

Which version of Minitab is used?

The training uses the current version of Minitab statistical software. Because Minitab LLC updates the product regularly, confirm the exact version and any software requirements with us before your session.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course is designed for people who are new to Minitab or have limited experience with it. It introduces the statistics alongside the software, so you do not need a strong statistics background to benefit.
