Why Maltese Employers Are Hiring Process Improvement Talent

    Quality Compliance Under EU Rules

Malta's pharmaceutical and medical-device makers operate under strict EU GMP and ISO standards. Certified Green Belts bring the measured, documented process control auditors expect.

Green Belt builds documented process control

Defect and Waste Costs in Manufacturing

Semiconductor and electronics exporters in Malta compete on yield. The DMAIC method helps professionals cut defects, scrap and rework that erode margins on exported goods.

Green Belt builds DMAIC defect-reduction skills

    Scaling iGaming Operations

As Malta's iGaming sector matures, firms need efficient, repeatable processes. Green Belts standardise workflows and remove bottlenecks that slow service and inflate cost.

Green Belt builds process standardisation skills

    A Tight Island Talent Pool

On a small island, skilled talent is scarce and labour costs are rising. Employers prize people who can lift output without extra headcount, exactly what a Green Belt delivers.

Green Belt makes certified problem-solvers stand out

    Rising Cost and Margin Pressure

Energy and input costs squeeze Maltese producers. Lean tools such as 5S and value stream mapping help certified professionals strip out waste and protect competitiveness.

Green Belt builds Lean waste-reduction skills

    Aviation and Medical Quality Demands

Malta's aircraft maintenance and medical-device firms work to demanding quality regimes. Green Belt holders deliver the control charts and process discipline these regimes require.

Green Belt certification is more than a credential. It is the skill set Maltese employers need to cut waste and lift quality. Start your journey today.

    Your Malta Career Transformation

Your Career Before and After Certification

The Upgrade a Green Belt Delivers

Malta's manufacturing, pharmaceutical and iGaming employers increasingly separate certified process-improvement professionals from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Salary capped with little leverage to negotiate in the Maltese market

    After Green Belt

Quality and process roles in Malta average around EUR 43,700 to EUR 48,000, with manager bands higher

    Today

Overlooked for roles that list Lean Six Sigma as preferred

    After Green Belt

Eligible for quality, process and continuous improvement roles across Maltese industry

    Today

Confident in the work, but without a method to prove impact

    After Green Belt

Fluent in DMAIC and Lean tools that turn improvement into measurable results

    You earn your Green Belt

    Before

Recognition that rests on job titles, not an independent credential

    Now you have

An IASSC Green Belt recognised by employers in Malta and worldwide

    Before

A supporting role in improvement work, without a clear method

    Now you have

The ability to lead DMAIC projects end to end with confidence

    Before

Gut-feel decisions that are hard to defend to management

    Now you have

Data-driven decisions backed by statistics and process evidence

    Before

Skills tied to one employer or a single sector

    Now you have

A transferable credential that travels across sectors and borders

"On a small island that lives on exports, the professionals who can cut waste and lift quality are the ones employers fight to keep."

    Exam

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

The IASSC Green Belt exam is closed book and uses multiple-choice and true/false questions across the five DMAIC phases. It is delivered online with web-based proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 100 questions and an allotted time of three hours. Some exam forms include up to 10 additional, non-graded questions. The questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases.

What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

You need a minimum score of 385 out of 550 points to pass. The questions are distributed across all five DMAIC phases, so aim for broad mastery rather than focusing on a single area.

What is the exam application process?

After preparing, you purchase an exam voucher through IASSC and choose your delivery method, either web-based on-demand proctoring or a Pearson VUE test centre. You can take an optional non-proctored evaluation exam first to check your readiness, then schedule and sit the proctored exam.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can retake the IASSC exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes practice questions and mock tests in the exam format to help you prepare thoroughly, and our team can guide you on rebooking your attempt.
