Quality Function Deployment Training in Lithuania, ExplainedUntitledYour Customer-Driven Design Skill

Quality Function Deployment Training in Lithuania equips you with a structured, customer-driven method for turning what customers want into what engineers build. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a planning methodology, developed in Japan by Yoji Akao and first applied at Kobe Shipyard in 1972, that translates the Voice of the Customer into measurable engineering characteristics using the House of Quality matrix. This one-day, eight-hour programme is a practical, non-certification skills course. You learn to capture and structure customer requirements, build and interpret the House of Quality, resolve design trade-offs, and cascade QFD through product planning, parts deployment and process planning. For Lithuania's fast-growing laser, photonics, medical device and electronics manufacturers, QFD is the discipline that keeps new products aligned to real customer needs. Build the skill with Invensis Learning and apply it to your own products from day one.

Why This QFD Training Is Worth Your TimeSkills You Apply from Day One

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

QFD training helps product and quality professionals design customer needs into their work rather than discovering gaps late. The course suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, R&D professionals and Six Sigma practitioners. Whether you are moving into new product development, tightening design quality, or bringing rigour to how your team captures customer requirements, this training builds capability you use immediately.

If you want a practical method that connects customer needs to design decisions, QFD is a clear step forward. You gain hands-on House of Quality skills, worked examples and templates, and a structured approach that employers across sectors value.

    • Turn the Voice of the Customer into clear, measurable design requirements
    • Build and read a full House of Quality with confidence
    • Prioritise design effort where it moves customer satisfaction most
    • Spot design conflicts early and resolve trade-offs before they cost you
    • Apply QFD within DFSS, DMAIC and service-design projects
    • Stand out for design, quality and product roles in Lithuania's export sectors
    • Take a structured, traceable method back to your own products
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

QFD group training helps organisations build customer-driven design capability by equipping product, engineering and quality teams with a common method. It can be delivered for R&D groups, quality functions or full new-product-development teams. For organisations that want to connect customer needs to design and cut costly rework, this training provides a scalable, practical solution.

If new products move forward on assumption rather than evidence, QFD group training creates a shared, traceable way to design quality in. Teams gain a standardised approach to capturing requirements, prioritising design effort and cascading decisions to production.

    • Give cross-functional teams one shared language for customer-driven design
    • Cut design iterations and late-stage rework on new products
    • Speed up time to market by resolving trade-offs early
    • Improve customer satisfaction and reduce warranty and quality costs
    • Standardise how requirements flow from concept to production
    • Build a House of Quality for one of your own products during training
    • Flexible onsite and live virtual delivery for teams across Lithuania

Market Forces Making QFD Skills Valuable in Lithuania

Precision Products, Zero Margin for Error

Lithuania's laser, photonics and medical device makers export 90 to 95 percent of their output. One missed customer requirement can cost a global order, so structured customer-to-design translation is essential.

    QFD builds customer-to-design translation skills

    Fast Growth Outpacing Design Discipline

Life sciences and electronics are among the EU's fastest-growing sectors, but rapid scaling can leave new-product processes informal. QFD gives teams a repeatable way to design quality in from the start.

QFD gives teams a repeatable design method

    Export Markets Demand Traceability

Selling into the US, Germany and China means meeting demanding customer and regulatory expectations. The House of Quality creates a documented link from customer need to engineering target.

The House of Quality creates a design audit trail

Deep Engineering Talent, Thin QFD Skills

Lithuania has world-class engineers but few trained in customer-driven design planning. Professionals who can run a House of Quality workshop stand out to product and quality employers.

Yes. Lithuania's export-driven laser, medtech and electronics sectors depend on getting new products right, and QFD is a practical skill you can apply immediately. It helps engineers, designers and product managers turn customer needs into design specifications that stand out to employers.

The course suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, R&D and NPD professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners. Anyone who translates customer requirements into product or service specifications will benefit, and no prior QFD knowledge is required.

No. The course has no formal prerequisites and introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles. Familiarity with product development or quality management is helpful but not required.

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to engineering characteristics, scores their relationships, benchmarks competitors, flags design conflicts in its correlation roof, and sets measurable engineering targets.

    General

What is Quality Function Deployment (QFD)?

Quality Function Deployment is a structured, customer-driven method for translating the Voice of the Customer into measurable engineering and design characteristics. Developed in Japan by Yoji Akao and first used at Kobe Shipyard in 1972, its core tool is the House of Quality matrix.

Is the QFD training worth it for professionals in Lithuania?

Yes. Lithuania's export-driven laser, medtech and electronics sectors depend on getting new products right, and QFD is a practical skill you can apply immediately. It helps engineers, designers and product managers turn customer needs into design specifications that stand out to employers.

Who should attend this QFD course?

The course suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, R&D and NPD professionals, and Six Sigma practitioners. Anyone who translates customer requirements into product or service specifications will benefit, and no prior QFD knowledge is required.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No. The course has no formal prerequisites and introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles. Familiarity with product development or quality management is helpful but not required.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to engineering characteristics, scores their relationships, benchmarks competitors, flags design conflicts in its correlation roof, and sets measurable engineering targets.

    Pricing

How much does the QFD training cost in Lithuania?

    Assessment

Is there an exam for this QFD course?

    Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The one-day course covers QFD foundations and the business case, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, building the six rooms of the House of Quality, interpreting it for design priorities, cascading QFD through four phases, and applying QFD in DFSS, DMAIC and services.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one day, a total of eight hours. It can also be delivered as two half-day sessions of four hours each, covering all six QFD modules with hands-on exercises throughout.

Will I build a real House of Quality during the course?

Yes. The training is hands-on. You structure customer requirements with an affinity diagram, classify them with the Kano model, and build a full House of Quality from a realistic product or service scenario.

Does the course apply to services and software too?

Yes. Although QFD began in manufacturing, the course covers applications in services such as healthcare and financial services, and in software development, alongside product design. The method fits any customer-to-design translation.

    What materials do I receive?

You receive structured course materials, House of Quality templates, worked examples and case studies to support the exercises and your own QFD projects afterwards.
