    How is BPM different from Lean and Six Sigma?

    BPM provides the end-to-end framework for identifying, modelling, governing and continuously improving processes. Lean and Six Sigma are improvement tools applied within that framework. In short, BPM governs the process while Lean and Six Sigma help improve it, and the disciplines work well together.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the BPM training?

    You will learn to map and document processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles such as simplification and automation, define process KPIs, and establish process ownership and governance across the full BPM lifecycle.

    What topics does the course cover?

    The programme covers six modules: introduction to BPM, the BPM lifecycle, process modelling with BPMN 2.0, process analysis and performance measurement, process design and governance, and BPM technology, automation and continuous improvement.

    How long is the BPM training?

    The course is delivered in one day, totalling eight hours, and covers all six modules with hands-on modelling and analysis exercises throughout. It can also be arranged as two half-day sessions for corporate teams.

    Does the course include hands-on practice?

    Yes. You practise building BPMN 2.0 process models from verbal descriptions, analysing processes to identify waste, and redesigning them using proven principles. The exercises and case studies keep the training practical and grounded in real workplace scenarios.

    Yes. The final module explains how BPMS and workflow tools automate processes, how RPA complements BPM by automating rule-based tasks, and how well-modelled processes provide the foundation for reliable automation and digital transformation.
