What Business Process Management Delivers for Japanese TeamsUntitledA Skill Every Modern Organisation Needs

Business Process Management (BPM) is the discipline of identifying, modelling, analysing and continuously improving the way work flows across an organisation to deliver value. Business Process Management training in Japan gives you a practical, end-to-end command of that discipline, from mapping a process in BPMN 2.0 to redesigning it for speed, quality and lower cost. The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations and service-delivery managers, IT and DX practitioners, and quality professionals who want a shared language for process work. It is grounded in recognised references: the BPMN 2.0 modelling standard (ISO/IEC 19510), the ABPMP BPM CBOK, and the ISO 9001:2015 process approach, so what you learn maps to how real organisations run. With Japan's workforce shrinking and DX investment accelerating, employers need people who can document, streamline and automate processes rather than paper over them. This one-day, hands-on programme helps you become that person. Start your BPM journey with Invensis Learning.

What Is Driving Demand for Process Skills in Japan

    A Shrinking Workforce

Japan's working-age population is falling by roughly half a million people a year. Employers must deliver more with fewer staff, making process streamlining and automation an urgent priority.

BPM helps you do more with fewer people

Legacy Systems and the Digital Cliff

Ageing custom-built systems trap many enterprises in manual, undocumented processes. Modernisation stalls unless processes are mapped and simplified first, exactly what BPM delivers.

BPM maps and simplifies before you modernise

    DX Ambition vs Broken Processes

Boards fund digital transformation, but you cannot automate a process no one has documented. Organisations need people who can fix the process before digitising it.

BPM fixes the process before you digitise it

    From RPA to Intelligent Automation

Japanese firms are moving from simple RPA to AI-driven automation. That shift only pays off when the underlying processes are clearly modelled, measured and standardised.

BPM makes automation actually pay off

    Scattered, Person-Dependent Processes

Critical know-how often lives in individuals, not documentation. BPM turns fragile, person-dependent work into consistent, measurable and improvable processes.

BPM turns fragile work into consistent processes

    Cost and Efficiency Pressure

Margin and capital discipline push firms to cut waste. Structured process analysis and redesign remove non-value steps and lower cycle time and cost.

    General

What is Business Process Management (BPM)?

Business Process Management is the discipline of identifying, modelling, analysing, improving and monitoring the processes an organisation uses to deliver value. This one-day course teaches the full BPM lifecycle and the BPMN 2.0 modelling standard, so you can manage and improve processes end to end.

Is BPM training worth it for my career?

Yes. Process skills are highly transferable and in demand across Japan's DX-driven economy, from business analyst and process consultant to operations and DX roles. You gain practical capability you can apply immediately, whatever your industry.

Who should attend this BPM course?

The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations and service-delivery managers, IT and DX professionals, quality managers and change practitioners. Anyone responsible for designing, running or improving a business process will benefit.

Do I need prior experience to join?

No. There are no prerequisites. The course introduces BPM from first principles, so some familiarity with business operations helps but is not required. It is suitable for both newcomers and experienced practitioners.

What standards and frameworks does the course cover?

The training is grounded in recognised references: the BPMN 2.0 process modelling standard (ISO/IEC 19510), the ABPMP BPM CBOK, the ISO 9001:2015 process approach, and Lean and Six Sigma improvement tools. It reflects how real organisations manage processes.

    Pricing

How much does BPM training in Japan cost?

Pricing depends on the delivery format, whether live online, classroom or corporate onsite, and on group size. For current fees and scheduled dates, request a quote and a learning advisor will share the options that suit you.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six BPM modules, hands-on modelling and analysis exercises, courseware and reference materials, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Ask about the exact inclusions for your chosen format.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer tailored corporate BPM training with volume-based pricing for teams, business units and cross-functional groups. Contact us for a group quote built around your organisation's processes and schedule.

Are there discounts for booking several learners?

Group and corporate bookings usually qualify for preferential pricing. The best value depends on team size and delivery mode, so speak with a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. A learning advisor can help you choose the option that works for you.

    Assessment

Is there a test to pass on this BPM course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no formal test. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling exercises, process-analysis workshops and group discussion during the programme.

What do I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the one-day programme. This is a practical skills course, so it confirms your participation and the capability you have built rather than a formal external credential.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

Learning is applied through practical activities: modelling processes from real descriptions, analysing them for waste, and redesigning them using proven principles. The focus is on building skills you can use at work, not on a formal test.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to map processes in BPMN 2.0, analyse them to find waste and bottlenecks, apply redesign principles, define process KPIs, and establish process ownership. In short, you can document, improve and govern business processes with confidence.

Does the course prepare me for real workplace projects?

Yes. Every module is built around practical application, using exercises and case examples drawn from real improvement scenarios. Corporate sessions can even use your own processes, so you leave ready to apply BPM immediately.

    Course Content

What topics does the BPM course cover?

The course covers six modules: BPM foundations, the BPM lifecycle, process modelling with BPMN 2.0, process analysis and performance measurement, process design and governance, and BPM technology, automation and continuous improvement.

What is BPMN 2.0 and why does it matter?

BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation) is the international standard (ISO/IEC 19510) for drawing business processes in a way both business and IT teams understand. The course teaches its core elements, events, activities, gateways and swimlanes, through hands-on modelling.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. You practise modelling processes from written descriptions, analysing them to identify waste and bottlenecks, and redesigning them using simplification, standardisation and automation principles. The day is workshop-driven, not lecture-only.

How long is the BPM training?

The programme runs for one day (eight hours) and covers all six modules with concept explanations, BPMN modelling exercises, analysis and redesign workshops, and real-world case examples. An extended half-day format over two days is also available.

Does the course cover automation and RPA?

Yes. The final module explains how BPM technology, workflow automation and robotic process automation (RPA) fit into process management, and how to identify which tasks are suitable for automation once a process is modelled and standardised.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the BPM course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete your booking, and you will receive joining details, schedules and learning materials. A learning advisor can help you pick the right session.

    What delivery formats are available?

The course is available as live online (virtual instructor-led) training, in-person classroom training, and customised corporate onsite sessions. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning style.

Is online live virtual training available in Japan?

Yes. You can join live virtual instructor-led BPM training online from anywhere in Japan, with the same hands-on exercises and trainer interaction as the classroom format. Contact us for upcoming online schedules.

    How soon can I start?

New sessions run regularly in both live online and classroom formats. The fastest way to find the next available date is to request current schedules from a learning advisor, who can also arrange a session for your team.

    Can I reschedule my booking?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule to another batch where needed. Contact our support team and they will help you move to a date that works for you.
