    Does this qualify me to lead Six Sigma projects?

    No. This is an awareness-level introduction and does not qualify you to lead DMAIC projects. To become a practising Six Sigma professional, progress to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt training.

    Course Content

    What topics does the course cover?

    The programme covers six modules: Six Sigma history and philosophy, key concepts and terminology, the DMAIC methodology, Six Sigma roles, an awareness-level look at core tools, and Lean Six Sigma in practice.

    What will I learn about DMAIC?

    You learn all five phases of DMAIC, Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, including the main deliverables and the tollgate review at each phase, so you can follow a project from problem statement to sustained improvement.

    Which Six Sigma tools are introduced?

    At awareness level the course introduces SIPOC, the Fishbone diagram, Pareto charts, control charts, Gauge R and R and process capability, so you understand what project teams are doing and why during each DMAIC phase.

    How long is the training and what is the format?

    The course runs for one day, around eight hours, and can also be delivered as two half-days. It blends concept explanations, real-world case examples, interactive discussion and team exercises.

    Will this prepare me for Yellow Belt or Green Belt?

    Yes. Awareness training is an ideal foundation for Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt training, and it complements courses such as 7 QC Tools and Minitab Essentials for those who progress further.
