    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The PMI-RMP exam is closed book with 115 multiple-choice questions, in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. You have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it, and it is delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five domains per the ECO (January 2022): Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-RMP?

There are three routes. With a secondary diploma you need 36 months of project risk management experience within the last five years plus 40 hours of risk education. With a four-year degree you need 24 months plus 30 hours. A GAC-accredited degree needs 12 months plus 30 hours.

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement), so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to build first-attempt readiness, and re-examination fees apply for later attempts.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can enrol in the training, and it is structured to support learners new to formal risk methods. To sit the PMI-RMP exam, however, PMI requires documented project risk management experience and education, which our application guidance helps you organise.

What topics are covered in the PMI-RMP training?

The programme covers the five PMI-RMP domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks. It also covers qualitative and quantitative techniques and risk across predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Does this training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The programme delivers the risk management education contact hours that satisfy the 30-hour requirement for the degree-based routes (Set B and Set C). Secondary-diploma candidates (Set A) need 40 hours and should add supplementary study to meet the full requirement.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?
