What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Leading Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) certification is a two-level qualification that validates your ability to plan, lead and embed the people side of organisational change. This change management certification training in Italy takes you through both levels in one 40-hour programme, so you move from understanding change theory to applying it in real organisational scenarios. The syllabus is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide. You study five topic areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management, drawing on established models such as ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model and Bridges' Transition Model. It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners and transformation leads. With Italy's PNRR-funded digital transformation reshaping how organisations work, certified change professionals are in strong demand. Foundation has no prerequisites, so you can start today and progress to Practitioner with Invensis Learning.

    Shortage of Certified Change Talent

Italy has a deep project-management talent pool but far fewer credentialed change professionals, making certified change managers rare and highly valued by employers.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Yes. Change management is in strong demand across Italy as PNRR-funded digital transformation, public-sector reform and AI adoption reshape how organisations work. The combined Foundation and Practitioner credential proves you can lead the people side of change, opening change consultant, change manager and transformation lead roles.

    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Italy?

Yes. Change management is in strong demand across Italy as PNRR-funded digital transformation, public-sector reform and AI adoption reshape how organisations work. The combined Foundation and Practitioner credential proves you can lead the people side of change, opening change consultant, change manager and transformation lead roles.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply change approaches to real organisational scenarios.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and senior leaders who sponsor or deliver change. Foundation is open to all, so no prior change management experience is required to start.

Which governing body is the change management qualification based on?

The syllabus is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It draws on established models such as ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's model and Bridges' Transition Model.

Is the change management credential recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected across Europe, including Italy, as well as the UK and Australia, particularly in markets where change management is an established professional discipline.

    Pricing

How much does change management training cost in Italy?

Fees vary by delivery format and schedule, and combined Foundation and Practitioner pricing is available on request. Your fee typically covers syllabus-aligned courseware, mock exams and learner support. Request a quote for current pricing and any group offers.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware for both levels, case studies, practice questions, mock exams, and learner support with guidance to prepare for both exams. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at the time of enrolment, so ask a learning advisor for details.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some options bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others are training only. Speak with a learning advisor to confirm what is included in your chosen plan.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR teams, PMOs and transformation offices. Contact us for a tailored quote for your team in Italy.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, single-answer format, and the pass mark is 50 percent, which is 25 out of 50 correct.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, using the Change Management Practitioner Guide. It has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks for 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there and in what order?

There are two separate exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. Foundation has no prerequisites, while Practitioner requires the Foundation certification, so the combined programme takes you through both in sequence.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can retake an exam, and our trainers provide guidance and practice questions to help you prepare for a first-attempt pass. Retake policies and any fees depend on your package, so confirm the details with a learning advisor before you book.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the change management syllabus?

The syllabus covers five topic areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at applied level.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to everyone, regardless of prior change experience. The training builds your knowledge from the ground up before moving to Practitioner-level application.

Which change management models will I learn?

You will learn widely used models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains and Cialdini's principles of influence.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The combined programme is a 40-hour course covering both levels, delivered as live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. The number of days varies with the daily schedule, so you can choose a format that fits your availability.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware for both levels, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams for the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus guidance on open-book exam technique.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and choose from upcoming live virtual, classroom or corporate batches. Once enrolled, you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to find the next available cohort.

What training formats are available in Italy?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training and customised corporate group training across Italy, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and learning preference.

Are there any prerequisites to enrol?

There are no prerequisites to enrol in the combined training. Foundation is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must hold the Change Management Foundation certification, which the programme prepares you for first.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexible options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact our support team to arrange a change to your enrolment.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment before you book.
