Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined, two-level qualification. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate validates knowledge of business analysis concepts and techniques, and the Practitioner Certificate validates your ability to apply them in realistic project scenarios. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

    General

What is the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined, two-level qualification. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate validates knowledge of business analysis concepts and techniques, and the Practitioner Certificate validates your ability to apply them in realistic project scenarios. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Who should take this course in Italy?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT professionals moving into a BA role, project team members, product owners and practising analysts who want a recognised qualification. It is popular across Italy's banking, consulting, IT and public sector organisations.

Is the certification recognised in Italy?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered body for IT, so the combined credential is recognised across Italy, Europe and internationally, particularly by employers running digital transformation and requirements-led change.

Do I need prior experience to start?

No. The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner level builds on Foundation knowledge, so completing Foundation first is recommended before you apply BA techniques in scenario-based practice.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement to keep them.

    Pricing

How much does the training cost in Italy?

Fees vary by delivery format and schedule, so pricing for the combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to individual or group enrolment in Italy.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes 32 hours of instructor-led training, EXIN BCS aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Confirm exam voucher inclusion when you enrol. Request a quote for full details.

    Are the exam fees included?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. EXIN exam pricing also varies by region and purchasing channel. Ask your learning advisor which package includes the Foundation and Practitioner vouchers so you know exactly what is covered.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in banking, IT, insurance and the public sector. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you best.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

Two separate EXIN exams. You sit the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam, and must pass both to hold both credentials. The programme prepares you for each exam in turn.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions, is closed book, and runs for 60 minutes. The passing score is 65 percent, which is 26 out of 40 correct.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions, is closed book, and runs for 60 minutes. The passing score is 65 percent, or 26 out of 40. Questions present realistic situations that test applied judgment.

Where can I take the EXIN exams?

You can take both exams online through EXIN's online proctored exam system, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are typically arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam; verify the current re-sit policy and any fee at exin.com. Our training includes mock exams and structured guidance for both levels to help you prepare and sit each exam with confidence.

    Course Content

What topics does the Foundation level cover?

Foundation covers 14 topic areas, including what business analysis is, strategy analysis, investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis, process and requirements modelling, requirements engineering, business cases and delivering the solution, all aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation Examination Specification.

What does the Practitioner level cover?

Practitioner covers seven applied topic areas, from the rationale for business analysis and strategic context to investigation, stakeholder management, modelling business activities, identifying solutions and building the business case, all assessed through scenario-based questions.

Which standard is the course based on?

The course is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK), developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes EXIN BCS aligned practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner levels, plus industry case studies, to help you identify gaps and build exam readiness.

    Will I receive a certificate?

On passing each exam, EXIN issues an official digital certificate and badge for that level. You also receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning for attending the training.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

What training formats are available in Italy?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced learning and customised corporate group training in Italy, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

    What are the eligibility requirements?

Anyone can enrol. The Foundation exam has no formal prerequisites, and the Practitioner level recommends holding or completing Foundation first, since it builds on that knowledge and applies it in realistic scenarios.

Can I reschedule to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training again. Contact support to arrange this before your batch begins.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
