    The certification is awarded by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC), an independent third-party body acquired by PeopleCert in 2020. IASSC credentials are recognised by employers worldwide.

    What if I do not pass the IASSC exam first time?

    You can retake the IASSC Green Belt exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes mock tests and practice questions aligned to the exam, so you sit it well prepared and confident.

    What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

    It is a closed-book exam of 100 multiple-choice and true/false questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms. You have three hours, and it is taken via online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE centre.

    What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 385 out of 550 points to pass. Questions are spread fairly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so broad mastery across all phases is the best approach.

    How is the exam delivered?

    The exam is available around the clock through online web-based proctoring or at Pearson VUE test centres in more than 165 countries, so you can sit it from Iceland either remotely or in person.

    Are there any eligibility requirements for the exam?

    No. IASSC requires no formal education, work experience or training to sit the Green Belt exam. Training and project experience are recommended, and our course prepares you fully.

    What is the exam application process?

    Purchase your exam voucher from the IASSC store, choose online proctoring or a Pearson VUE centre, then schedule and sit the three-hour exam. An optional non-proctored evaluation exam is available to check your readiness first.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    Yes. With no prerequisites, beginners are welcome. The training builds knowledge step by step across the DMAIC method, with hands-on practice and trainer support, so you can succeed even without prior Six Sigma experience.

    What topics does the training cover?

    The course covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. You learn process mapping, measurement system analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, designed experiments, statistical process control and Lean tools.

    Is the courseware aligned to the IASSC syllabus?

    Yes. The training follows the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge, so what you learn matches what the exam tests across all five DMAIC phases.

    How many hours is the training?

    The programme runs for 32 hours of instruction, delivered in full-day or extended formats to suit different schedules. This covers the complete Green Belt Body of Knowledge with practical exercises.
