    What do I receive after completing the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you complete the programme. More importantly, you leave able to build, resource, track and report on a real project schedule in Microsoft Project.

    How is my learning checked during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you work through practical exercises alongside the trainer at each step, building a project schedule feature by feature. This hands-on approach lets you confirm your understanding and ask questions as you go.

    Do I need prior experience to join?

    For Fundamentals, no. It is designed for people new to Microsoft Project, and basic familiarity with Windows and Office is helpful but not required. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on experience using the tool.

    Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

    Take Fundamentals (2 days, 16 hours) if you are new to Microsoft Project or use it occasionally. Take Advanced (3 days, 24 hours) if you already use it and want resource levelling, cost management, Earned Value, custom reports and master projects. You can take either level on its own or both in sequence.

    You will learn to set up projects, build a work breakdown structure, link tasks and read the critical path, assign and level resources, set baselines, track progress, manage costs and Earned Value, build custom reports, and manage master projects, depending on the level you choose.

    What does the Fundamentals level cover?

    Fundamentals covers project setup and calendars, the work breakdown structure, task dependencies with lag and lead, the critical path, work, material and cost resources, baselines, progress tracking with the Tracking Gantt, and built-in status reports, all with hands-on exercises.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers task types and advanced scheduling, resource pools and levelling, cost management and Earned Value, custom fields, views, filters and reports, master projects with cross-project dependencies, and what-if scenario planning with multiple baselines.

    Are the sessions hands-on?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered as instructor-led sessions with live Microsoft Project exercises throughout. You follow along in the software as the trainer demonstrates each feature, building proficiency through realistic practice rather than theory alone.

    How long is each level?

    Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours total) and Advanced runs for 3 days (24 hours total). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats. Ask our team about the schedule that fits your availability.
