    What topics does the Lean Manufacturing course cover?

    Over one eight-hour day the course covers Lean foundations and TPS, the eight wastes (DOWNTIME), value stream mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and kanban, Just-in-Time, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Lean culture.

    What Lean tools will I learn to use?

    You will learn to run a waste walk, build a value stream map, calculate takt time and OEE, apply 5S, design a kanban pull system, write standard work, apply SMED for quick changeover, and lead Kaizen improvement using A3 problem solving.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

    Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day, including Gemba-based waste identification, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, OEE calculation and kanban sizing, so you practise applying each tool to realistic manufacturing scenarios.

    How long is the training and can beginners keep up?

    The programme is one day (eight hours), also available as two half-days. It is designed for beginners as well as experienced staff: concepts are introduced from first principles and reinforced with exercises, so no prior Lean knowledge is needed to keep up.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive structured courseware covering all six modules, along with exercises, worked examples and reference materials for the core Lean tools. These support you during the session and act as a practical reference when you apply Lean back at work.
