Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It is designed for experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals.

    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP (Project Management Professional) is PMI's flagship credential and the global gold standard for project managers. It validates your ability to lead projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It is designed for experienced project managers, team leads and delivery professionals.

Is the PMP certification worth it in Fiji?

Yes. In Fiji, certified project managers earn a reported premium of around 20 to 25 per cent over non-certified peers, and the credential opens senior roles across tourism, construction, telecoms and banking. As infrastructure and hotel investment grows, demand for PMP holders is rising.

Is the PMP recognised in Fiji and internationally?

Yes. The PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and widely regarded as the global gold standard of project management certification. Employers in Fiji and worldwide reference it in job specifications, tenders and client contracts.

Which standard is the current PMP based on?

The current PMP exam is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and PMI's updated Examination Content Outline. The training keeps your preparation current with this edition and its predictive, agile and hybrid content.

How long is the PMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMP is valid for three years. To renew, you earn 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) within each three-year cycle across the PMI Talent Triangle, reported through PMI's continuing certification requirements system.

Do I need experience to earn the PMP?

Yes. With a four-year degree you need 36 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months of leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training provides.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMP training fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 35 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application guidance and learner support. Speak with a learning advisor for a full inclusions list and a quote.

How much does PMP training cost in Fiji?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately and is not part of the training fee. Contact us for a tailored quote for individual or group enrolment.

How much is the PMP exam fee?

PMI bills the PMP exam fee in USD under regional pricing, with a lower rate for PMI members than non-members. Fees change periodically, so confirm the current amount at pmi.org before you apply. Membership can also reduce the cost.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMP exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our preparation, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass first time, and you can re-sit within the window if needed. Reexamination fees apply to later attempts.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The PMP exam has 180 questions and runs for 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It is a closed-book exam delivered through Pearson VUE.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score and does not publish a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all exam areas.

Where and how can I take the PMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

What question types does the PMP exam use?

The 8th edition-aligned exam uses several formats: multiple-choice (single and multiple answer), matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions. Most are scenario based, testing how you apply project management in realistic situations.

    Course Content

Can a first-time candidate take this course?

Yes. The programme is structured to take you from the fundamentals through to exam readiness, and it provides the 35 contact hours PMI requires. Trainer support and practice materials help you build confidence even if this is your first PMI credential.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers five areas aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition: project management fundamentals, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks, business analysis and strategic management, and stakeholder engagement and communication.

Does the PMP exam and course cover agile?

Yes. Roughly half the exam content reflects agile or hybrid approaches, and the training covers Scrum, Kanban and lean practices alongside predictive delivery, so you can lead across any project environment.

    What learning materials are included?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator, templates and chapter-wise quizzes, along with references to the PMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook.

How many contact hours does the training provide?

The programme provides the 35 contact hours of project management education that PMI requires for the PMP application. You receive a certificate of completion evidencing these hours.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website and choose an upcoming batch that suits you. Complete payment to receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to find the next available cohort.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the exam?

To sit the PMP exam you need either a four-year degree with 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months of leading projects. Both paths require 35 contact hours of project management education, which the training provides.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
