What is the Program Management Professional (PgMP)?

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's senior credential recognising professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated programme to achieve strategic benefits. It is one of PMI's most exclusive certifications, held by fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide.

Is PgMP recognised by employers in Fiji?

Yes. PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Fiji and worldwide, including telecommunications, banking, government, utilities and infrastructure organisations that run large project portfolios.

Do I need PMP before taking PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite for PgMP. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

How long is the PgMP certification valid?

PgMP is valid for three years from the date of certification. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

What is included in the PgMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review guidance, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Request a quote for the full inclusions.

How much does PgMP training cost in Fiji?

Instructor-led PgMP training in Fiji is quoted in Fijian dollars and varies by format and cohort, so pricing is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD and is not part of the training fee. Ask a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, and members pay less than non-members. PMI membership also lowers renewal costs. Confirm current fees on the PMI website before you apply.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across five performance domains and delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or a test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level performance feedback rather than a fixed percentage score.

What are the five PgMP exam domains and their weights?

The five domains are Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%), as set out in the current ECO aligned to the 4th Edition standard.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first try?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our training and practice resources are designed to build broad mastery across all five domains before you sit the exam.

Course Content

What topics does the PgMP training cover?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus guidance on the PMI application, panel review and exam strategy.

Which standard and edition is the course based on?

The course is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition (PMI). The courseware reflects the Fourth Edition and the five performance domains it defines.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP ECO, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question format.

Do I need prior experience to attend the training?

Anyone can attend the training, but PgMP is a senior credential. To sit the exam you need substantial project and programme management experience under one of PMI's three eligibility sets. The training helps you consolidate that experience and prepare.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which you can use toward your PMI application.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma: 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP, plus 84 months of programme management experience. With a four-year degree: the same 48 months plus 48 months of programme experience, all within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?

What training formats are available in Fiji?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training for teams across Fiji, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule.

Can I reschedule to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.
