    What do I receive on completing the training?

    On completing the one-day programme you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. This is a skills training course, so no formal qualification or credential is awarded, but you gain practical QFD capability you can apply straight away.

    Will I be able to build a House of Quality on my own afterwards?

    Yes. The training is built around practising the method. You construct and interpret a full House of Quality during the exercises, so you leave able to facilitate Voice of the Customer sessions and build QFD matrices for your own products or services.

    Does the course support Six Sigma work?

    Yes. QFD is a core tool in Design for Six Sigma (the DMADV Measure phase) and in the DMAIC Define phase. The training shows how to use the House of Quality to translate the Voice of the Customer into critical-to-quality requirements for design and improvement projects.

    Is any standard or framework behind the course?

    The training is grounded in the established QFD methodology and the House of Quality, and it links to Design for Six Sigma, DMAIC and the customer-focus principles of ISO 9001:2015. There is no governing body or formal assessment for QFD itself.

    What topics does the QFD training cover?

    The course covers QFD principles and origins, Voice of the Customer capture, the affinity diagram and Kano model, full House of Quality construction across six rooms, HoQ interpretation, four-phase QFD cascading, and QFD in DFSS, DMAIC and service design.

    What is the House of Quality?

    The House of Quality is the central QFD matrix. It links customer requirements (the WHATs) to measurable engineering characteristics (the HOWs), scores their relationships, benchmarks against competitors, uses a correlation roof to expose design conflicts, and sets engineering targets.

    Does the course include hands-on practice?

    Yes. Hands-on exercises run throughout the day. You structure the Voice of the Customer, classify requirements with the Kano model, build a complete House of Quality from a realistic scenario, calculate column importance and identify design hot spots.

    Does QFD apply to services and software, not just manufacturing?

    Yes. Although QFD began in manufacturing, the course covers its use in services such as healthcare and financial services, and in software, where user requirements are translated into architecture and test criteria. The method fits any customer-to-design translation.
