What Is Lean Fundamentals Training?UntitledA Practical Grounding in Lean Thinking
Lean Fundamentals Training in Finland is a one-day introductory course that gives professionals a practical grounding in Lean management: the philosophy, principles and everyday tools used to remove waste and improve how work flows. Rooted in the Toyota Production System developed by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo at Toyota, Lean is now applied across manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, logistics and IT. You learn the five Lean principles codified by James Womack and Daniel Jones in Lean Thinking (1996): identify value, map the value stream, create flow, establish pull and seek perfection. You also learn to recognise the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) and apply foundational tools including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, standard work and Kaizen. The programme suits everyone from team members and supervisors to managers and improvement professionals across Finland's industrial and service sectors. There is no exam and no prior Lean knowledge is needed. You leave able to identify waste in your own work and contribute to improvement activity straight away.
