Course Content

What will I learn in the Root Cause Analysis course?

You will learn to define problems precisely, collect evidence, and apply the 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA and the 8D method. You will also learn to develop and verify corrective actions that prevent recurrence, all through hands-on exercises.

How long is the training and how is it structured?

The course runs for one day (8 hours) and covers six modules, from RCA principles and problem definition through the 5 Whys, Fishbone and Fault Tree Analysis, the 8D method, and corrective action and verification, with exercises throughout.

Are the exercises hands-on and practical?

Yes. You work through realistic problem scenarios all day, including an Is/Is Not exercise, a 5 Whys investigation, a Fishbone workshop and a complete 8D report. Corporate groups can apply the tools to their own live problems.
