Does this prepare me for Six Sigma work?

Yes. Minitab is the primary analysis tool for the Measure and Analyse phases of Six Sigma DMAIC projects. The course builds exactly the software skills that Green Belt and Black Belt practitioners use, so it is strong preparation or a companion for Six Sigma training.

How long is the training?

The programme runs as a one-day, eight-hour course covering all six Minitab modules, from data management through to regression and Gauge R&R. It can also be delivered as two half-days. Every session is hands-on with live software exercises.

Course Content

What topics does the Minitab course cover?

The course covers six areas: Minitab interface and data management; descriptive statistics and graphical analysis; hypothesis testing; statistical process control; process capability analysis; and regression with Gauge R&R measurement system analysis.

Which graphs and charts will I learn to build?

You will build histograms, boxplots, scatter and matrix plots, time series plots and Pareto charts, plus I-MR, Xbar-R, P and C control charts. Each is created live in Minitab so you can reproduce it on your own data.

Which statistical tests are included?

You will run normality tests, 1-sample, 2-sample and paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA with Tukey comparison, and chi-square tests for association, interpreting p-values and confidence intervals correctly in Minitab.

Does the course cover process capability?

Yes. You will run capability analysis for normal and non-normal data, interpret Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk, and produce the Capability Sixpack report used to present results in Six Sigma and quality projects.

Are the sessions hands-on?

Completely. Every module includes live Minitab exercises on realistic quality and process datasets. You follow along and perform each analysis yourself, because proficiency comes from practising the tool, not from watching a demonstration.
