A Practical Introduction to Lean ManagementUntitledBuilt for Everyday Operational Excellence
The Lean Fundamentals Training is a one-day, introductory programme that teaches the core principles, philosophy and tools of Lean management to professionals and teams across the Dominican Republic. Rooted in the Toyota Production System developed by Taiichi Ohno and Shigeo Shingo at Toyota, it gives you a working command of Lean thinking you can apply straight away. You learn the five Lean principles set out by James Womack and Daniel Jones in Lean Thinking (1996): identify value, map the value stream, create flow, establish pull and seek perfection. From there you explore the eight wastes (DOWNTIME) and foundational tools including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, standard work and Kaizen, with hands-on waste-identification exercises throughout. This is a non-certification, skills-focused course with no exam. On completion you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and the practical Lean skills you gain apply to manufacturing, medical devices, logistics, hospitality and services alike. Start building your operational excellence capability with Invensis Learning.
