    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the EXIN Agile Scrum Master Examination Specification and aligned to the Scrum Guide. It covers five topic areas across the Scrum Master role and agile delivery.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes. It can be taken through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited testing location, giving you flexibility on when and where you sit it.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions correct. Focus on broad mastery across all five topic areas: agile thinking, the Scrum Master role, agile estimating and planning, complex projects and adopting agile.

    How and where do I take the ASM exam?

    You can sit the exam online with EXIN online proctoring from home or the office, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. Exams are often booked through your accredited training provider as part of the course.

    What if I do not pass the exam first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam if needed. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams to prepare you thoroughly, and selected plans offer retake support. Confirm re-sit fees and the current policy with EXIN before booking.

    What topics does the Agile Scrum Master training cover?

    The training covers five EXIN topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), the Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%), with practical facilitation and coaching skills throughout.

    What will I learn in the ASM course?

    You will learn to facilitate Scrum events, coach the team, remove impediments, apply agile estimation and planning, and support agile adoption. The course builds both exam readiness and the day-to-day skills of a capable Scrum Master.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No formal work experience is required. Foundation-level Scrum knowledge is helpful and recommended by EXIN, and the training builds the Scrum framework understanding you need, so motivated beginners and experienced practitioners can both benefit.

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, topic-wise quizzes and reference materials aligned to the Scrum Guide, all designed to reinforce the five exam topic areas and build confidence.
