Why Change Management Skills Are in Demand Across Belgium

    AI and Digital Transformation Pressure

Belgian firms are racing to prepare their people for AI and digital ways of working, yet many feel employers under-invest in the skills to adopt them. Certified change professionals who drive adoption are in demand.

    Build change and adoption skills

    Public-Sector Digitalisation

Flemish and federal digital programmes need change-management advisory, with public bodies upskilling leaders through the Flemish Digital Leaders Academy. Change skills are central to delivering these reforms.

    Learn stakeholder engagement at scale

    Regulated Life-Sciences Change

Healthcare and life sciences is Belgium's fastest-growing sector at 5.6% CAGR, where regulatory submissions and digital-health pilots demand disciplined, well-governed change to protect quality and compliance.

    Apply structured change practice

    Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Change

Factory modernisation and circular-economy mandates are reshaping Belgian manufacturing, and the people side of operational change is where many programmes stall without skilled change practitioners.

Manage the people side of change

    Certified Change Talent Shortage

With 9,000-plus open change roles but a thin pool of formally certified practitioners, holding Foundation and Practitioner credentials helps you stand out to Belgian employers.

Stand out with a recognised credential

    Transformation Value Leakage

Boards fund ambitious transformation programmes that stall at adoption, causing value leakage. Organisations increasingly hire certified change managers to secure engagement and benefits realisation.

Skills You Will Build in This Change Management CoursePractical Capability, Not Just Theory

    Guide Individuals Through Change

You will learn to support how people experience and adapt to change, applying models such as ADKAR and Bridges' Transition Model, and using motivation and resilience theory to move individuals from awareness to lasting new behaviour.

    Lead Organisational Change

Select and apply the right organisational change models, including Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and McKinsey 7-S, and assess culture and readiness so you can plan change that fits the organisation.

    Engage Stakeholders and Communicate Change

Identify and analyse stakeholders, build targeted engagement and communication plans, and use influence principles to manage resistance through dialogue rather than coercion across the change lifecycle.

Plan and Deliver Change in Practice

Run change impact assessments, build complete change management plans covering communication, training and resistance, and apply techniques to embed and sustain change so benefits are realised.

Manage Yourself as a Change Professional

    Pricing

How much does the course cost in Belgium?

Course fees are quoted in euros and vary by delivery format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The fee typically covers training, courseware and mock exams, with exam vouchers confirmed at enrolment. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across both levels, syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions and mock exams, plus learner support and guidance to prepare for both exams. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at the time of enrolment.

Are the exam fees included in the price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose and is confirmed when you enrol. Many corporate and combined packages include both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers. Ask a learning advisor to confirm what your selected option covers.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change offices, HR functions, PMOs and leadership teams across Belgium. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. You sit the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials, and the combined training prepares you for each one end to end.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice, single-answer questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and lasts 2.5 hours. It has five scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks, and the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an exam if needed, and our training is designed to prepare you to pass both levels first time through mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance. Ask about re-sit policies and any Flexi options at the time of enrolment.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

The course covers five topic areas: change and the individual, change and the organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement, change practice, and personal and professional management. Foundation builds knowledge and Practitioner develops applied skill.

What change management models will I learn?

You will learn a broad set of models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, and how to apply them in practice.

Which standard is the course based on?

The course is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide, along with the Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for the Foundation level, so beginners are welcome. The programme builds from core concepts up to applied practice, with trainer support and practice materials, so career changers and those new to change can follow it comfortably.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware for both levels, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams, plus guidance on open-book technique for the Practitioner exam. These materials help you prepare for both assessments.

How do I enrol in the course?

    How long is the training?
