    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and what is the duration?

    The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. Results are reported with domain-level feedback (Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement) rather than a fixed numeric score.

    What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

    Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management is by far the largest, so weight your preparation accordingly.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory in addition to the written exam; both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What happens if I do not pass the exam?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts on the PMI store. Our prep resources and trainer guidance are designed to build first-attempt readiness.

    What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

    The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus guidance on the PMI application, the panel review and exam strategy.

    What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP?

    You must meet one of three sets. Set A: secondary diploma plus 48 months of project management experience (or active PMP) and 84 months of programme management experience. Set B: a four-year degree plus 48 months project (or PMP) and 48 months programme experience. All within the past 15 years.

    Which standard and syllabus is the training based on?

    The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). The 4th Edition standard underpins every domain covered in the training.

    Are practice tests, mock exams and materials included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP ECO, along with templates and reference materials to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion after the training?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate along with the contact hours earned through the programme, which support your PMI application and professional development.
