Demand Drivers Making Business Analysts Valuable in Azerbaijan

    Diversification Beyond Oil

Azerbaijan's push to grow its non-oil economy above 70% of GDP demands professionals who can translate new strategic priorities into defined requirements and sound solution options.

BA skills connect strategy to workable solutions

    Banking and Fintech Modernisation

Baku's banks and fintechs are digitising products and channels at pace, and weak requirements cause costly rework, exactly the gap trained business analysts are hired to close.

BA skills sharpen requirements and process design

    Government Digitalisation

The 2026-2029 digital economy strategy expands data-driven governance and e-services, creating demand for analysts who can model processes and manage complex stakeholder groups.

    BA skills support public-service redesign

    Certified BA Talent Scarcity

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Yes. As Azerbaijan grows its non-oil digital economy, banks, telecoms, energy firms and IT services in Baku increasingly need certified business analysts. Holding two recognised EXIN BCS credentials helps you stand out and access roles from Business Analyst to Senior BA. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your route.

    General

Is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification worth it in Azerbaijan?

What are the EXIN BCS Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certifications?

They are a two-level pair of credentials from EXIN, in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Foundation validates knowledge of business analysis concepts and techniques, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them in realistic project scenarios.

Who should take this combined BA course?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT and project professionals moving into BA roles, and practising analysts who want a formal qualification. The Foundation level is open to everyone, so no prior business analysis experience is required to begin.

Which standard are these certifications based on?

Both credentials are aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK) and delivered against the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications, quality-assured by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing-education requirement to keep them.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes BCS-aligned courseware, case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, trainer-led sessions and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment. Request a quote for full details in your local currency.

How much does the course cost in Azerbaijan?

Pricing depends on the delivery format and whether both exam vouchers are bundled, so the training fee is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for current pricing and any group offers for teams in Baku.

How much are the EXIN BCS exam fees?

EXIN exam voucher pricing varies by region and purchasing channel and is set by EXIN, so it is best confirmed at the time of booking. The combined training and dual-exam package is usually arranged through the accredited training provider.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for analyst, product and transformation teams. Ask about corporate pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are there and what is the format?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions; the Practitioner exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions. Both are closed book and 60 minutes long, and you must pass both to hold both credentials.

What is the passing score for each exam?

The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct on the Foundation exam and 26 out of 40 on the Practitioner exam.

    Are there any prerequisites?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. For the Practitioner level, the EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis is the recommended prerequisite, which this combined programme covers first.

Where can I take the exams?

You can sit both exams online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through the accredited training provider as part of the combined package.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam by booking a new voucher; EXIN's current re-sit policy applies. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to prepare you thoroughly for both exams the first time.

    Course Content

What will I learn in this course?

You cover 14 Foundation topic areas including investigation techniques, requirements engineering, process and requirements modelling, stakeholder management, strategy analysis and business cases, then apply seven Practitioner topic areas through scenario-based practice.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. The Foundation level assumes no prior business analysis knowledge, and the programme builds step by step from concepts to applied practice, so beginners and career changers can follow it comfortably with trainer support.

How long is the training and how is it delivered?

The combined programme is a 32-hour course, typically delivered over four days, though the number of days varies with the daily schedule. It is available as live online, classroom and corporate group training.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive BCS-aligned courseware for both levels, industry-driven case studies, practice questions and mock exams for the Foundation and Practitioner formats to reinforce learning and build exam readiness.

Does the course include hands-on practice?

Yes. The Practitioner level is scenario-based, so you apply techniques such as BPMN modelling, stakeholder analysis and business case development to realistic project situations, not just theory.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website, choose live online, classroom or corporate group training, and gain access to schedules and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to an advisor to pick a start date that fits.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style in Azerbaijan.

Do I need business analysis experience to enrol?

No. Anyone can enrol, as the Foundation level requires no prior experience. The Practitioner content builds on the Foundation material covered earlier in the same programme, so you progress in a logical order.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Selected plans let you reschedule or transfer to another batch. Contact our support team to arrange a change that works for you.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a reschedule option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
