Skills You Will Build in This ProgrammeFrom Change Models to Real Application

This Change Management Foundation & Practitioner Certification Course builds real change capability across all five syllabus areas, from individual and organisational change models to stakeholder engagement, change practice and professional management. By the end, you can plan, lead and embed change and pass both exams.

    Guide Individuals Through Change

The skills covered in the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner course begin with people. Apply ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, motivation and learning theory to understand how individuals respond to change, diagnose where transition stalls, and build the support that turns resistance into commitment.

    Lead Organisational Change

Select and apply organisational change models including Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and the McKinsey 7-S Framework. Diagnose culture using Schein's model, assess change readiness, and match your approach to the type and pace of change an organisation can absorb.

    Engage Stakeholders and Communicate

Identify and analyse stakeholders with tools such as the power/interest grid, build targeted engagement strategies, and design communication plans. Use Cialdini's principles of influence to move resistant and influential stakeholders through the change lifecycle.

    Plan and Deliver Change

Run change impact assessments, build a complete change management plan covering engagement, communication, training and resistance, and apply the tools that embed and sustain change so benefits are realised, not lost after go-live.

Lead Yourself as a Change Professional

Develop the emotional intelligence, coaching, facilitation and ethical judgement that underpin effective change practice, using Goleman's model to build trust, navigate conflict and manage your own resilience through demanding change.

    Pass Both Exams with Confidence

Prepare for the closed-book, 50-question Foundation exam and the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner exam. Practise navigating the Change Management Practitioner Guide efficiently under timed conditions and apply models to realistic change scenarios.

Foundation confirms your knowledge of change concepts and models, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios. Both are grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised qualification that validates your ability to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation confirms your knowledge of change concepts and models, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real scenarios. Both are grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take this change management course?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who drive or support change. In Azerbaijan it is valued across energy, banking, telecom, government and consulting, where organisations are transforming and need adoption to succeed.

Is the change management certification recognised in Azerbaijan?

Yes. It is a recognised international qualification valued by employers in Azerbaijan and in over 150 countries, and is particularly respected wherever organisational change is a recognised professional discipline. It travels well across sectors and borders.

Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner worth it?

Yes, if you want to lead change credibly. Certified change roles in Baku average around 60,000 manat a year and rise higher at lead level, and demand is growing as Azerbaijan diversifies and digitalises. The credential gives you proven models and international recognition. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

What are the prerequisites for the certification?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you must first hold the Change Management Foundation certification or an accepted equivalent, which is why the combined programme takes you through both levels in sequence.

    Pricing

How much does change management training cost in Azerbaijan?

Pricing depends on your chosen format, such as live virtual, onsite or one-to-one, and whether it is individual or corporate training. Fees are available on request. Contact our team for a tailored quote and current schedules.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training aligned to the official syllabi and the CMBoK, courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Confirm the exact inclusions and exam voucher details with our team.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Some bundles include the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers while others price them separately. Ask our advisors to confirm what your chosen option covers before you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change teams, PMOs, HR functions and leadership groups. Contact us for a group quote for your team in Azerbaijan.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

Our training is built to prepare you for a first-time pass, with mock exams, practice questions and exam technique for both levels. If you need to resit, our team will guide you on the retake process. Retake policies and any resit fees are confirmed at enrolment.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is closed book with 50 multiple-choice, single-answer questions and a 40-minute duration. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation part of the training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with 5 sections each worth 16 marks, giving 80 marks in total, over 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50 percent, meaning 40 out of 80 marks. The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam.

What is the passing score for each exam?

Both exams require 50 percent to pass. Foundation needs 25 out of 50 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 40 out of 80 marks across its five scenario sections. You must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential.

    How are the exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered through online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and are typically taken at the end of each part of the combined programme. Our team will help you plan your exam scheduling.

    Course Content

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Change Management Foundation has no prerequisites and is designed for people new to structured change management. The training builds from core concepts to applied practice, so beginners and experienced professionals both progress to the Practitioner level with support.

What topics does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers five areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application level.

Which change models will I learn?

You will learn a broad set of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the official Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, the current Change Management Practitioner Guide and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus industry case studies, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for both papers.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website or by speaking with an advisor. Choose your format, complete enrolment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. Contact us to see upcoming batches in Azerbaijan.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, onsite classroom training, and customised corporate group training, plus one-to-one options. You can choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning preference.

How many days is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of training. The number of days varies with the schedule, for example five full days or a spread of shorter sessions. Ask our team about the schedule that suits you.

Do you offer training for teams in Azerbaijan?

Yes. We deliver corporate group training onsite or live virtual for teams across Baku and wider Azerbaijan, with tailored content, flexible scheduling and dedicated coordination. Request a group quote to get started.

Refunds and rescheduling are handled per our published policy, and selected plans allow you to reschedule or transfer to another batch. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
