    The course covers DFSS foundations and the DMADV roadmap; the Define phase (project charter, VOC, Kano); the Measure phase (CTQ flow-down, QFD); the Analyse phase (concept generation, Pugh matrix, DFMEA); the Design phase (robust design, P-diagram, DFMA); and the Verify phase (design verification, validation, design scorecard and transfer).

    What is the DMADV roadmap?

    DMADV stands for Define, Measure, Analyse, Design and Verify. It is the most widely used DFSS framework and guides you from defining customer requirements, through translating them into measurable CTQs, analysing and selecting concepts, creating a robust design, and verifying it meets all requirements before launch.

    How long is the training and what format is it?

    The programme runs for one day (eight hours) and can also be delivered as two half-days. It is instructor-led and available in live online, classroom and corporate onsite formats, with hands-on tool exercises throughout.

    Are the exercises hands-on and practical?

    Yes. You work through realistic product and process design scenarios, applying VOC to CTQ flow-down, a QFD House of Quality, the Pugh concept-selection matrix and a DFMEA worksheet, so you leave able to use the tools on your own projects.
