What Uzbekistan's Construction Boom Demands from Project Leaders

    Fast Pipeline, Scarce Certified Leaders

New Tashkent and the 2045 master plan are flooding the market with megaprojects, but Uzbekistan has far more site engineers than globally certified construction project managers.

PMI-CP makes certified construction leaders stand out

    Complex EPC and Contract Structures

International EPC contracts, design-build and FIDIC-style terms demand rigorous contract administration, the exact discipline the PMI-CP puts at its core with a 50% exam weighting.

    Claims, Variations and Dispute Risk

Fast-tracked builds trigger scope changes and claims. Employers need professionals who can manage variations and disputes without eroding programme and margin.

    Multi-Stakeholder Government Programmes

Public megaprojects involve owners, ministries, financiers and communities at once, raising the bar for structured stakeholder engagement and communications.

Where the PMI-CP Takes Your Construction Career

    A Clear Before and After

Uzbekistan's building and infrastructure market is expanding fast, and employers increasingly separate certified construction leaders from the rest. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Pay capped, with little leverage to negotiate in the local market

    After PMI-CP

Eligible for senior construction roles that pay well above the Tashkent average

    Today

Passed over for roles that list construction PM certification as preferred

    After PMI-CP

Shortlisted for EPC, developer and government programme roles

    Today

Confident on site, but employers want contract and governance skills

    After PMI-CP

Fluent in the four PMI-CP domains international clients expect

    You earn your PMI-CP

    Before

Authority on site rests on experience, not a recognised construction credential

    Now you have

A PMI credential recognised by employers across Uzbekistan and worldwide

    Before

Limited to site or engineering roles with no formal project mandate

    Now you have

A clear route into Construction Project Manager and Project Director roles

    Before

Strong on delivery, but light on contracts, claims and governance

    Now you have

Command of contract administration, claims, risk and project governance

    Before

Recognition fades when you change employer, sector or country

    Now you have

A globally portable credential that travels across markets and sectors

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-CP is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates your ability to deliver complex construction projects and suits construction project managers, site and project engineers moving into project management, owners' representatives and construction consultants.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-CP is the Project Management Institute's specialist credential for the construction industry. It validates your ability to deliver complex construction projects and suits construction project managers, site and project engineers moving into project management, owners' representatives and construction consultants.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for construction professionals in Uzbekistan?

Yes. With New Tashkent, national infrastructure and record foreign investment reshaping the market, employers increasingly seek certified construction project leaders. The PMI-CP proves construction-specific project management expertise and opens roles that pay well above the Tashkent average.

Is the PMP required before taking the PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two credentials are complementary, with the PMP covering general project management and the PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP valid and how is it renewed?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can be applied toward renewal.

What standard is the PMI-CP based on?

The PMI-CP is built on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline (ECO) and aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition. It covers four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

    Pricing

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Uzbekistan?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request, so you can choose live online, classroom or corporate delivery to suit your budget. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current pricing.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes ECO-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, guidance on the four prerequisite modules and the exam application, learner support and a course completion certificate. Talk to a learning advisor for the full inclusions.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-CP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI members pay a lower exam fee than non-members, and individual membership is around USD 139 per year. Confirm current fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts for PMI-CP training?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for construction teams, PMOs and business units. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the PMI-CP exam first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, so a first-time miss is not the end of the road. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and prep support are designed to build your readiness before you sit.

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is based on the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and you have 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete it. Understanding the format helps you plan your preparation and manage your time on the day.

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). The heavy contracts weighting reflects how central contract administration is to construction delivery.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam?

You can take the exam online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility period.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all four domains.

    Course Content

Can a site engineer or newcomer take this PMI-CP training?

Yes. The training is built for experienced construction professionals, including site and project engineers stepping up into project management. It walks you through each domain and the four prerequisite modules, so you build confidence before applying for the exam.

What topics are covered in the PMI-CP training?

The training covers the four ECO domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance, plus guidance on the four prerequisite modules and exam strategy.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-CP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware follows the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the 8th edition of the PMBOK Guide, so you prepare against exactly what PMI tests.

What are the four mandatory PMI-CP modules?

Before applying, you complete four self-paced PMI modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total. We guide you through them.

What learning materials and practice are included?

You receive ECO-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, templates and topic-wise quizzes. These help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across all four domains.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol on the Invensis Learning website and join an upcoming batch in live virtual, classroom or self-paced format. Choose your preferred option, complete payment and get access to schedules and courseware. Talk to a learning advisor to find the next batch.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires two parts: completing all four self-paced modules, plus one experience and education set, ranging from 60 months of construction experience with a secondary diploma to 24 months with a GAC-accredited degree.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual classroom training, self-paced e-learning, in-person classroom sessions and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and location in Uzbekistan.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?
