What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's advanced credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as a coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It suits experienced programme managers, PMO leaders, delivery directors and senior practitioners with substantial programme experience.

Is PMP required before taking PgMP?

No. An active PMP is not mandatory for PgMP. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

Is the PgMP recognised in Uzbekistan and internationally?

Yes. PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Uzbekistan and worldwide. Fewer than 3,000 practitioners hold it globally, making it a distinctive differentiator for senior programme leaders.

How long is the PgMP certification valid?

PgMP is valid for three years from the date of certification. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across five performance domains, delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour allotted time. It is a closed-book exam using single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). The training covers all five, aligned to PMI's 4th Edition standard.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam; both must be passed to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass the exam first time?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Our training includes structured preparation, mock exams and trainer guidance to build readiness, and re-examination fees apply for later attempts; confirm current amounts on pmi.org.

What will I learn in the PgMP training?

The training is aligned to PMI's Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline. The domain weightings and tasks follow PMI's official outline so your preparation matches the exam.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the PgMP ECO, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

PgMP is a senior credential, so the training assumes existing project and programme experience. Anyone can attend to build knowledge, but to sit the exam you must meet PMI's eligibility requirements, which the training helps you document.
